The best way to block a three really is to get a hand swipe when they dip the ball. I think that would actually count as a steal though... Your best bet is to just get a hand in the face. You have to be a lengthy bastard to block a jumpshot.
Shump/battier

LeBron did so much dumb shit I actually forgot about these two plays. Awful.

Just so many stupid, lazy, careless plays in the final 18 minutes of the game. Mind blowing stuff.
Don't forget about that switch between those 2 that gave Bradley the game winning shot.

Shump/battier

The Battier face-guarding -- which, BTW, is explicitly illegal everywhere but the NBA -- has always been the most effective (if you can do it) option for a close-out for NBA-level players beyond the 3-pt line.

Unfortunately, Ky's 6-3 without the freakishly long arms that are seemingly dime-a-dozen in the NBA. And, perhaps just as importantly, you need to have a thorough knowledge of every player's shooting form so as not to get a foul call for accidentally hitting the guy in the face or the arm.

BTW, I dunno if any of you have ever played against guys that are good at face-guarding, but it is RIDICULOUSLY hard to score against someone who's really adept at it.

Let's just remember -- as said by someone on Twitter last night (maybe it was Simmons?) -- Smart would probably take a half hour to make 7-10 on consecutive 3's in an empty gym.

It took an all-time performance from a 29% 3-pt shooter, a truly abysmal performance by LeBron, and one of the most convenient bounces in history for the Celts to win last night.

By 3.

On a last-second shot.

If tomorrow night is a meandering shitshow on offense and defense, THEN we should all start ripping our hair out.

I'm just hoping the ankle is ok tomorrow when his adrenaline is off.

I'd sit him Game 5 and make LeBron and Love close this out if he's not right.

They need this dude at his best if they want a shot at repeating.

No homo I fucking love this guy man. Such a big gamer. So young. So many more years of this we get to watch. Hopefully his ankle is ok

>MFW everyone said he's either not fine and/or never going to find himself this season

Hope y'all learned your lesson!

I was about to say Kyrie didn't look hurt to me... Then he had ankle scare and continues to whoop ass. Great game by the kid.

Won't happen but I agree. We don't need any overcompensation injuries, need him rolling at 100% to have a chance in the Finals.

Once Kyrie gets in his groove there is no stopping him. Looking forward to watching him in Game 5. Hope his ankle is alright.

The boston defender on kyries last score is still trying to figure out how Irvings elbow went left and kyrie went right.
