2017 NFL Draft Day 2 Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If he's the best QB prospect why not?

Fair enough..

Just puts pressure on him to play this year when he's needs developing...

Browns need to see him play this year to decide if they need to be aggressive with QBs next year...

So, it's a delicate balance and if he doesn't pan out then you just wasted a 2nd rounder...

I like him, and I like Kizer better than any QB option mentioned (Garrapolo, McCarron, Dobbs, Peterman, etc.) but just his draft position is interesting...

No issues with Kizer at this spot.

He's the definition of boom or bust. But when Kizer is your FOURTH pick of your draft, it's worth the risk.

His highs were higher than any other QB in this draft. His lows were probably lower than any of the top 7 QBs as well.

If Hue can iron out his flaws, he'll be a superstar.

I would've rather skipped out on all QBs this draft. Tired of these projects that pans out to be fucking nothing.

Tired of the QB controversy.

If we can find 2015 Kizer, its a pick that will be canonized forever.

I like Kizer, at 52 its a good risk. But 2016 Kizer was really inconsistent.

All I ask is, would Kizer have been there at beginning of 3rd round?

I personally didn't see any teams that would've picked him in between picks. Was looking at Tabor at that pick.

Here's why it's worth a shot....

1. Kizer has a ton of talent....you could argue he has the highest ceiling of any of these guys.

I'm not disagreeing, but this draft class is so fucking awful. I didn't want any of them. So just because they're all poor, just taking the best one of the worst doesn't make me feel better.

2. ND was a dumpster fire and Kelly is an awful coach. I think his talent was squandered there.

Now, some of the blame can be placed on DK but I think this is a situation where he just needs good coaching and time to develop.

It's not all BK, but yeah, he was horrific. Honestly, Kizer came off as system QB at best to me. And when the system broke down, so did his game, because he couldn't really improvise very much outside of what he was given.

His accuracy was Derrick Anderson like at times. Maybe not that bad. But he could drop a dime 30 yards, then struggle badly with his intermediate throws.

He has great physical tools, no one will argue that. But maturity is an issue.

I would have punted on him. I think Kizer would have been better served being drafted as a back up on GB, or NO, with established teams/QBs and sit 3 years.

So when Browns have that 1-9 start it's time to see Kizer?

Throw all your eggs in one basket. Brilliant. We've been doing it for 19 years so that's sure to work.
