2017 NFL Draft Day 2 Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fair enough..

Just puts pressure on him to play this year when he's needs developing...

Browns need to see him play this year to decide if they need to be aggressive with QBs next year...

So, it's a delicate balance and if he doesn't pan out then you just wasted a 2nd rounder...

I like him, and I like Kizer better than any QB option mentioned (Garrapolo, McCarron, Dobbs, Peterman, etc.) but just his draft position is interesting...

He should NOT take a snap outside of preseason. He needs to sit and develop rather than play. Playing him this season would be the mistake we keep making with these QBs. Kizer right now is the third string if we keep Osweiler. We need to actually use the word DEVELOP with a QB and that mean not playing the kid for a couple seasons.

So when Browns have that 1-9 start it's time to see Kizer?
If we are 0-5 it'll get brought up. The fans will be calling for him and it's going to be annoying as shit. The kid needs to not play this year at all.

We are going to be bad and have a legitimate shot at Darnold or Rosen. The question is, do they have the balls to take one of those guys a year after Kizer? I can't see it.

Drafting Kizer honestly makes me feel worse about the Peppers pick.

These dudes better ball out or we'll be switching FOs in two years again.

I'm rooting for Kizer. I like "him". I don't think he's a bad kid, and enjoyed him overall.

I hope he works out. I feel bad what Kelly did to him. I just wouldn't have selected him. Maybe Hue can work out the kinks. We shall see.

He definitely has much higher upside than Kessler though. No debate there.

I bet they do.

The 52nd pick in the draft is not some holy grail. It's not a throw away either, but if you're in position to get a Luck-esque QB prospect next year, you do, and they will. Regardless of Kizer.

QBs have a learning curve. You don't learn by sitting. You learn by doing. He needs to play. This "myth" about having a QB sit is bogus.

Carr started as a 2nd rounder, Wilson as a 3rd. Dalton as a second rounder. QBs usually get better with playing time. They will all make mistakes but you want them to make it early and not late or even not next season.

No! Kizer should not play this season. He isn't ready to play and won't be ready to play. We need to allow a QB to develop for once. The OLine is better so let him sit down and learn and develop. We can still get another QB next season if they feel we need too.
