I wonder how much more he pays in taxes going to Toronto than playing in Texas. I don't blame the raps though. Gets DeRozan off the books. Demar is a good player but does not have the gas to take a team to the next level, like Kawai does. But if history shows us anything, Leonard will not play much. If he sits out another season, does that affect his value? or does he get his 141 from the lakers anyway...

I'd be pretty devastated in his shoes. Dude thought he had a $150 million contract coming soon, and now he had to settle for a $2 million. Unless he can turn it around next year and land a nice contract I don't think it's something he'll ever be at peace with.

Or at least not being able to sign for anything above the MLE in real world dollars while the team signing him has it impact their salary cap as if it were a Max contract.

What stands out to me is that the key piece in the Kyrie trade is now a vet minimum player.
