2018-2019 Tank Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Magic Number is "one." We can only win one more game because the Bulls might as well forfit the rest of their games.
Bulls play the knicks twice...they could beat NY with 4

K doesn't coach anymore at all. He has gone into the "buy em up" let them play AAU basketball ala Kentucky.

Yeah it’s kind of sad. They’ve been underwhelming for most of the season and I’m getting concerned about RJ’s ability to generate clean looks or get separation. It’s been heavily contested double pump/underhand shots in most case without an outlet in sight.

I don't know about anyone else but its my humble opinion that Morant is the second best player in the draft by a clear margin...RJ will be good but doesn't have the star potential that Morant has.

I have a word of advice for the Cavs fans who are completely on the Zion train of thought:

  1. Try not to get too worked up before the lottery.
  2. Try not to get surprised by where we end up after the lottery.
  3. Even if our spot in the end looks awful, don't expect the Cavs to just draft without any extra thought.

Just playing around with the simulation on Tankathon made me realize how likely the Cavs could end up 5th in the draft. But that's the case for everybody now: if the lottery changes stay the same for the next few years, we're gonna see crazy results. But because it's only once in every 360 or so days, we won't get a chance to see how crazy it gets. I mean, hell, there's far better odds for a team to fall 3-4 spots the higher up they are in the lottery...

So we could miss on Zion, Barrett, Morant, etc...

And if that worst case scenario does happen, at least we'll be high enough that we could use that pick to get a real treasure, whatever it is. I could see us doing what Atlanta did with Dallas to get their guy (Young), and vice versa (Doncic).

Also, for our other pick, I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled a draft day deal like we did to get Zeller in 2012. Having extra assets means we have the means to target certain players, even in the second round.

Even after saying all this sh!t, I truly have no idea what happens. Hell, we could end up with Zion anyways.

Agreed. I posted the same thing last week.

BUT....I have had this overwhelming feeling that Culver is going to be a stud in the NBA....maybe one of the best 3 players in this draft. Barrett will be a solid to good player, and Reddish may be a surprisingly good players, but I think Culver is going to be REALLY good. White and Little may be very good pros as well. Know pretty much nothing about the rest of the bunch.

How is the depth in this draft? Sorry I haven't been watching a ton this season since I knew it was going to be a trainwreck of a year. In the past Gilbert wasn't against buying second round picks, this could be a season that he buys more since we need to bring in young talent.

I think the Knicks or Suns will get 1. The other gets the 2nd pick.

I don't know...I just struggle to see us seeing lightning strike for the FIFTH time in that way.

Top 3 have separated from the rest of the pack. After that the order could be all over the place.

If we fall out of the top 2, I hope we draft Culver.
