2018 Spring Training Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd go with Naquin and Allen in that scenario. I don't see what Rajai brings to this team that Allen doesn't do better. E-Gon will essentially be our 5th OF'er.

I want one or the other since they need everyday at bats, so we will keep one and I think we are going to keep Davis. I think Franconia is going to since he wants Davis on the roster with the guys. It’s like the season we kept Giambi at the end of the day. At least Davis can still run though. I know you don’t exactly agree with that, but having the personalities in the clubhouse is what we may need.

We're a 100 win team. We have great personalities that produce on the field as well. We have no use for guys who don't do the second part.

Last night I had a dream that the Indians lost the first two games of the ALDS by a combined score of 40-4.

That is all.

From watching the games and whatnot, it feels like Davis has made this roster to me at least on the offset of the season. Now if he struggles badly will he stay? We shall see!

It is nice to see a real log jam at catcher with Haase in the mix now who has really opened some eyes this spring. He looks like he could be a fixture for awhile.

Which guys have surprised you guys this spring?

So I went to the game yesturday, great seats.

Saw Clevinger pitch, his stuff is really good in person.

On a side note, Edwin signed my son's baseball. Really nice guy, does a fantastic job paying attention to the fans. Interacts, throws extra balls into the crowd. Although he did break my pen, he looked at me and apologized as the pen blew up in his hand. It was a click pen and he thought it had a cap. Hilarious the look on his face when he broke it, lol.

As someone who places no value on spring training performance, nothing has surprised me

Well it seems like there is a good probability Davis has the last spot on the roster since other veterans are starting to be cut or sent to the minors.

Now the biggest questions left will be what happens with Merritt and the competition between Urshela and Gonzo

I am a bit shocked Rajai Davis made the team.

Respectfully, why? Seemed like a given to me. Tito values vets like him and it doesn't make sense to have Naquin/Allen get limited ABs. It was always him vs Upton to me.

Age and declining production.
