2019 Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think they've done a good job of selling to the world, their desire to keep Love, however I don't think they'll be stupid enough to gun for an 11-14 spot (I don't think we'll be close with Lue/Longo/Jones as a coaching staff, as overachieving requires good to great coaches).

For all I know, the Cavs FO could be 100% set on keeping Love or 100% set on trading him. Regardless, it's definitely the smart move to make the rest of the NBA world think that you'd be happier keeping him.

I would put money on no playoffs this year. Unless Kevin Love magically turns back into the superstar we once thought he was, this lineup isn't better than the Wizards, Bucks, or even the Heat. We've got an excellent shot at keeping our first.
The interesting part will be how they perform after 15+ games..we know Cavs had a hard time playing when Lebron sat.
Now he's gone for good, they will all have to step up.
I want them to win, but how many games, I'd rather not speculate at this point.

I thought we would have signed one player from the "best unsigned from Summer League" by now. We currently have 12 players signed (including Frye), but not counting White or Mathias who are not guaranteed or Preston who has one of the two way spots.

My guess is that the Altman is holding onto the extra spots in order to do a potential three for one type deal to get rid of JR, Hill, or maybe TT. Possibly a sign and trade with Sacramento for Hood may develop.

I was also looking at the Lakers and wondering what they have that would make it worthwhile for us to take on Deng's contract. Something like JR, Korver?, for Deng, Hart, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, and a #1 pick, would get me interested.

Who knows, but it seems to me that if we do not have a trade developing, we would be signing one more player this week.

They weren't willing to give that up for Kawhi. They aren't doing it for Deng

Lakers have no reason to give up an asset to move Deng. LeBron's commitment to them means they don't have to make shortsighted moves to clear instant cap space. They're better off just having him report to camp and try to carve out a veteran bench role than giving up an asset. He'll be a $16 million expiring contract in a year.

Love really does deserve a medal for the sacrifices he's made here.

He sacrificed his game offensively and dealt with all the abuse in stride. Shame that it took the player tribune article to shed some light on the internal struggles he was dealing with but these pictures will always be ingrained in my memory no matter what route Love takes in the future. The epitome of professionalism

He should be happy with his $80M+...no need for a medal. (IMHO!)

I always liked Yogi and hes a solid 3 point shooter. Not sure where he would fit but would love to have him in Cleveland.

I think we need a backup PG. Play Sexton and Hill together, while Yogi and Clarkson hold down the second unit. I don't think we should have Clarkson run the point.

I also think Hill's value is better as a knock down 3 point SG more than a PG. I think another team will take a one year flyer in bring in a 3 point shooting specialist at 19 million. Hill showed in the playoffs he really isn't a starting caliber PG. I would showcase him as a 3 and D SG that can defend both guard positions.

Signing Yogi doesn’t make sense, unless the Cavs are planning to trade George Hill and/or play Jordan Clarkson at SG.

Yogi plays like an undersized SG more so then a PG him and Clarkson wouldn't really gel in the backcourt. I said I wasn't sure he would fit. I just like his game so I wouldn't mind him on the team.
