2021 NFL Draft: Day 3 (Rounds 4-7)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well I was thinking they would use 113 on a DT, but I guess not lol

Figured we'd look to stockpile a bit for next year. The 4th should be pretty high as the Lions are gonna be doo-doo butter this year.

I’m really surprised they haven’t addressed EDGE or iDL so far in the draft... I think it’s likely a combination of things:

— May bring in a veteran after the draft/before training camp (Sheldon reunion?)
— The Browns do like what they have in Curtis Weaver
— They have some faith Porter Gustin/Sheldon Day/Joe Jackson can claim a roster spot
— The edge/iDL is weak after the first couple rounds

We will draft a DT likely with the next pick, but the DT crop isn't all that strong though at the end of the day honestly. We still have 3 picks between rounds 5-6 so we will get someone somewhere for the DLine..

Giants getting Azeez and Elerson Smith.

God help me I like Dave Gettleman’s draft, shit is going sideways out here boys.

153.

Great trade.
It's a trade. I wouldn't say it's a great trade. If the lions suck next year it's basically a gain of a 5th round pick this year.

C

If the browns had gotten a future 3rd that would have been a great trade

Hated his first round pick. The trade down was fine but taking Toney over Bateman was dumb.

Hard to disagree, similar to Berry he seemed to go grab a slot/gadget weapon as opposed to a more traditional outside weapon (granted, in R1 instead of R3).

With Golladay and Tate, that makes a bit more sense for me, there is really no more excuses for Daniel Jones now.

Toney is a safe, high completion rate safety weapon.

I at least get the premise of it, which is more than I can say for his usual approach.

You keep extra picks around next year because you want the 2022 JOK trade to be an option.

this is the answer. They just got the guy they wanted in the fourth. Everyone else must be rated around the same so take the ammo next year. Love this FO
