2022 RCF NFL Mock Draft: Discussion and Dissection

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
@Hurl Bruce - if this shouldn't be here, feel free to move it, but I wanted to propose something with this mock draft. One thing I did with some friends in another group is choose a team, create a mock offseason, then go through a fantasy season off the team that was selected/drafted/signed. In addition to the draft, we played GM with free agents and trades and then let the season play out using fantasy rules during the actual season. Would there be any interest in something like this for this group?

Personally, I think there would be... but at the moment guys have two teams, so would that be fair for people to own two teams? I also chose the Bills because I wanted to control the team around Allen, but coming from a Green Bay fan family, I think if I was controlling a season ahead of time like this, I would have choose Green Bay...

Oh, I wasn't necessarily saying to do it for *this* year, or even for how I outlined, just throwing an idea out there in case fleshing it out further for this group made sense. I've made it work for a few NBA seasons now, but I haven't done one for the NFL. Just thought it could add some interaction/engagement for those that want it?

As someone with at least 5 fantasy football teams, doing this might be biting off more than I can chew.

I like it and I think you could get some to do it, but I am not sure if we can get enough regulars for all 30 teams in a sense. Plus how would fantasy points work? Like if someone picks what would be a weak team in real life, wouldn't they be at a complete disadvantage?

Another forum used to do this forum wide, with mods representing FA, etc. it could get painfully messy without that massive infrastructure.

Updated both of my Giants picks in the draft thread to include scouting reports and a little blurb about why I made the pick.

Cardinals looking to move into 16–20 spot for right player.

Houston willing to trade #37 and #80 to move into the 1st round.

AZ and I had a trade worked out contingent on one guy falling.

Turns out the guy AZ wanted to fall to Baltimore was who I was trading up for.

Arizona is willing to move down from 23.
