He's still 6'7 230 who can score at the rim, shoot 3s, and play elite defense. Will Garland ever be an elite defender who can guard 1 to 3.

And Ariana Grande will never suck my dick, but she's still hot.

Garland being unable to defend small forwards is a useless waste of time discussion.

The discussion was about a potential trade of Garland and more assets if needed for Brown.

Garland is a better player than Brown and I believe he'll be a better player than Mitchell sooner rather than later. Garland was also the better player in the Knicks series funnily enough.
Where is this confidence coming from? Better than Brown now and will be better than Mitchell? You think he's Hall of Fame calibur PG? All-NBA? Stop it bro..

I'm somewhat interested to see how Wade responds this season. I feel like he's probably going to get moved at some point this year, but with Niang and Strus he's going to have to put in more work to earn playing time. He didn't really have to do a lot earn time ahead of Cedi and Stevens, yet was able to lose it pretty quickly.

Let me flesh out the Ariana Grande metaphor to detail: Teams can absolutely win with a true point guard under 6'3 and a true center who defends the paint in today's NBA. Some teams are going towards switching everything. One of them was the Pistons, who went 17-65 with a plus size point guard and no true center.

So obsessing on something an All Star point guard can't do because of size isn't a net benefit when he does so much extremely well. It's as useful as only talking about Ariana Grande's one flaw... she won't be sucking my dick.

And more assets if needed?

Are you day drinking?

Look, Brown is on an expiring contract, and while he's a good defensively, he's not an elite defender. He's not even the best wing defender on that roster.

It's not a real discussion, it's you ignoring all the reasons the Cavs won't do it and trying to speak it into existence.

That center is Jokic. A generational center. Do you believe Mobley will grow to be something like Jokic? He does not have the build to ever be a bruiser like him. I'm done with this discussion though. We will revisit this in 5 years when the Cavs will be trying to break up their core and trading Garland. They will have missed an opportunity to get Brown.

I know Brown is an expiring and he would sign here for top dollars. The core of Mitchell, Brown and Mobley will be the biggest missed opportunity. I'm done talking about this though. I remember when people here was against the Mitchell trade too.

You trade Garland for Brown, we have the exact same problem Boston currently has. We lack a guy to run the offense. Mitchell can make plays for others, but he's really not a point guard.

Having a guy run the offense, is pretty damn important. It's one of many reasons Boston's offense was shit.

I have no interest. I think Brown is a low IQ player to be honest. He really got exposed for how incredibly stupid he plays the game of basketball.
