I can make a drunken rant about JB......that guy. The rotations sucked, his.slowdown tempo at the end is annoying. Guy is going against the only team he can beat.

Really, great wins but Orlando suck bad, bricking wide open 3s all night. We havnt been able to crack 100 points in 6/7 JBB playoffs games, that’s crazy considering the amount of offensive firepower we have

We lose against any other eastern conference playoff team playing like this

Ahmaad is the best. I dunno how he does it 41 times a season for the, what, twenty seasons or so he's done it?

But a Boomer I work with told me yesterday he doesn’t like that Cavs announcer at the games…old Italian guy…gee I wonder why

Great to get the win last night, but Cavs have zero chance to get out of the 2nd if DG is playing like this. Strus has to play better, too, but we need DG playing like last season in order to have any shot to beat the Celtics.

Celtics are just as good as the Magic defensively but infinitely better on offense. We can’t score with them without Strus and DG playing well.

I know the man is trying on defense, thanks to his girth (lol) but having we seen enough of Niang , his 3pt has left him again, and honestly I cringe every time he throws up that fade shot , Yes I know Mr Fragile (Wade) would be the perfect solution but that ship have sail….

I’m thinking it’s time to see what Morris can offer, you’re not losing anything and Morris can hit an open 3 and play plausible D…….

What a wonderful introspection. And for him to share that says volumes about his maturity, and the wonderful, yet apparently difficult, job his Mom did raising him. I'd give that story 10 "Likes".

We were broke as hell growing up. I was trying to get into the Naval Academy, and had to go to Pittsburgh for some physical/athletic testing so my mom drove us out there and we stayed at a motel. I didn't know it, but my mom had only seven bucks in her purse after paying for the hotel..

I got up early, had breakfast, and went to the testing. Mom didn't tell me, but she didn't have breakfast because she didn't have money. Lunch came when I was still being tested, so I got a lunch provided. My mom tried to buy something for her lunch near the motel but came up short. Some guy took pity on her and bought her a sandwich.

She seemed really nervous on the drive home after my testing. I thought it was because she didn't know the route, but as I found out later, it was because she didn't know if we had enough gas to make it home.

Didn't find out about any of that stuff until years later.

I'm with Spyda. The thought of what my mom gave up just to try to maximize my opportunities, literally sewing her own clothes because she didn't have the money to buy new ones, still staggers me all these years later.

From The Athletic:

The Cavs are turning the ball over too much and shooting just 29 percent from 3-point range. Orlando has successfully goaded them into joining the rock-throwing contest.

The Magic have the right to adjust and play better in these next two games in Orlando, but there has been no convincing evidence to suggest they will come all the way back in this series. Since 1984, teams that go up 2-0 win 91.2 percent of the time, and the deficiencies the Magic have shown in the backcourt and on the 3-point line do nothing to make anyone think this series will end as an outlier.

Yeah, it's not like the Magic were a very good offensive team during the season and they are mysteriously missing a lot of shots. They had a losing record against the teams ranked in the top six defensively.

I expect they will shoot better at home. In the regular season they shot 55% at home and 52% away in terms of eFG. They should cut back on the 3-point shots and take more mid-range shots. Banchero has been deadly on those jumpers from the foul line and the elbows.

“I think there’s a level that we can continue to improve,” Mitchell said. “I think the fourth quarter, the last seven minutes or so, like, that can’t happen. You know what I mean? Like, we’re fortunate we got the win. We did a lot of good things. But the challenge is we got to fix that. You know what I mean? It starts with me.”

I'm seeing people say that the Cavs are "dominating" and they are "in command". I'm not buying it. Yes, they are turning it over too often and they are shooting well under 30% on 3's. Their interior defense and bad 3-point shooting by Orlando is the only thing saving them right now.

Too many turnovers and missed 3's will get you beat, even against these guys. Mitchell is right - they have things they need to fix.

Yes it was an atrocious offensive display the last 7 minutes. We were lucky Orlando didn't get hot.

Wow I always thought he grew up rich because his dad worked in the Mets organization! Didn’t know his family had to struggle at all!
His dad was in their organization, but it looks like he was managing in the minor leagues until he made it up to the Mets. Don would have been an older teen at that time.

They pay the guys in the minor leagues peanuts relative to how long they work. And comparative to the cost of the schools Don went to, dude either had some serious scholarships or mom was working too while dad worked his way up.
