Really like our match-up with Boston. I believe we will have an easier time on the offensive side of the ball. Would like our chances a little more if Dean Wade and Jarrett Allen were healthy! I'd personally like to see Okoro/Levert or one of our better defenders on Derrick White, his 3s can be absolute killers. Take him out and do your best to hold down Tatum and Brown and idk might be close at the end!

Really bad match up. Boston is going to cook us with 3s.

The shortcut plan of signing expensive old farts isn’t working these days. Good drafting and judicious trades are the way. GSW (previously), Denver, Minnesota, Ok City, Boston, etc. It’s becoming more like the NFL where the salary cap / taxes are more of an issue now. But the long path does take time and it doesn’t always work.

Cavaliers can’t do the shortcut because free agents don’t view us as a desirable location. Go figure.

Pretty clear Mitchell is signing the max and playing with the Cavs in 2024-25. After that.......things get interesting. Mobley's offensive game needs to go through that "real" boost Garnett, Giannis and Bosh had when they got into their mid 20's. That hapoens, no trade demands.Garnett was frankly a stat padder until year 6.

Mitchell needs to stay at all cost and this team better show up agaisnt Boston in terms of competitiveness. If we get blown out in 4 games that might change things. I hope last game was a confidence boost for dg we need him to step up big

Having plus size on the perimeter was a Coach Pops recipe for playoff wins, and the Magic have used high lottery selections to build an especially tall roster.

If you are lining up a contested three, a 6'10 guy running at you with his arm extended looks a whole lot different than a 6'5 guy running at you. So the Cavs trot out players like Strus and Okoro at forward while the Magic had Wagner and Banchero. I had hoped the Cavs would draft longer wings, but it didn't really come together until Bates in the second round last year.

Glad we got out of that series considering the extreme disparity. Luckily our guys have toughness and experience on their side.
