“Am I the only one” takes the lead from “Okay, so hear me out”

Maybe if DeShaun hadn't insisted on a record breaking contract for a QB, the Browns might have more money to give him the teammate he wants. That's why some QB's didn't always insist on the maximum amount they could possible get.

...last I checked, the Browns have more available cap space than any of the other contenders for Hopkins and playoff success...

Cash value and salary cap numbers are two different figures — i.e. when all that as made of Watson’s $1M base salary last season..

Watson’s cap number can be manipulated and managed to provide the flexibility they need to remain competitive as seen with his restructure this off-season to create cap room..

Berry has been extremely nimble in navigating the salary cap and structuring contracts.. His staple is low base salary up front with void years added at end of deal..

The reason the Browns can field the roster they can field is because Haslam has provided the biggest checkbook out of any NFL owner the last few years.. His cash flow allows Berry the room to do what he has been doing…

If the Browns hasn’t given him the record breaking contract, he would not be a Brown and these guys wouldn’t be interested in coming to Cleveland.

Am I the only one not buying the hype on Jacksonville?

The AFC South is probably going to suck. Jacksonville should win that division fairly easily even if they aren’t great. It’s possible Houston, Indy, and Tennessee are all starting rookie QB’s by week 4.

Jacksonville should win their division but will probably get smacked in the wildcard round.

Fuck that shit we can air cincinatti and Baltimore head to head

Yet when confronted about how to get his team a new stadium, he tells the city and fans the team will move away for 3 years while it's built since the location isn't the one he wants. He can take his 'spending' on salary and shove it up his Smokey mountain.

Mmm, if the city is insisting that it remains in the same location how are they supposed to play there while it's being torn down/rebuilt?

For 3 years? The same length as when they left? And why not Canton at least instead of Columbus? You are fooling yourself if you don't see this as a message from Haslam to the city and Browns fans.
