Fuck it

I am bullish because Woods was a fuckboi. 2nd in man coverage yet continued to go zone. Ward looked disinterested and we just kinda sucked. Watson got suspended for the perfect amount of games to fuck the team too. Clowney was actually awful at pass rush, so Garrett was constantly doubled.

So now we have a healthy watson, AB brought in a real DC, best OL, WR suddenly deep, Chubb is so fucking nasty, shored up the IDL, Walker back, and secondary gets a vet safety and has the best corners in the league. Garrett will break out even more.

We will lose 4-5 games, including the playoffs. We slaughter Pittsburgh twice, and then break even w Baltimore and Cinci. A couple of random losses in there, but a few games where we absolutely demolish teams that get behind and have to pass more. Lots of interceptions this year, and 6 pick 6’s.

Shit, this is the best roster and coaching staff (on paper) that we've had since '99. New offense, new defense, question marks... yadda yadda, I know. But what team doesn't have question marks? Why can't we be one of the teams to go from a 25th ranked defense to top 10 in one year? Why can't we be explosive on offense? If I'm EVER going to predict 12 wins it'll be with this fucking team so let's do it.

The more I look at it the more I agree this is hands down the best roster the Browns have had since the exile, not even close. The best players, the most depth, the best defensive coordinator. All we need is for Watson to just be his average self and for KS to put together schemes that fit the talent. The coaches have to coach, the players have to play. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing, except "It's the Browns". Those scars run deep and we fans have had Lucy pull the football so many times, I find myself refusing to believe anything until we come out and show it on the field, put together wins, build some kind of winning identity. The cart has to stay behind the horse with me, no matter how good things look on paper.

I can see your point of view, but for most of us regular schlubs this is amazing news. Forcing us to watch 400 Broncos prime time games last season was hell.

Flexing actual good teams into that Thursday night game is definitely something I’m looking forward to.
