2023 NFL/Browns Predictions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seeing the Cowboys in the Super Bowl is all I need to know about these predictions... #ThrowThemInTheTrash
If you're going away from the chalk Eagles and niners picks, who do you like out of the NFC?

I think Seattle might be next for me. I'd put Dallas there based on their roster, but McCarthy is just so fucking awful that there's no way they make it, especially after getting rid of Kellen Moore.

I actually hate the Niners this year.

A QB who doesn't handle pressure well, with a poor offensive line, and he cannot read pressure looks? I think Brock Purdy is in a lot of trouble. Their defense should be a fire breathing dragon and get them to a NFC West title, but they won't handle teams like the Cowboys and Eagles well.

I like the Saints a lot more than most. I think Derek Carr will give them such a better QB that they will roll through their division.

I feel like it's weird to bash the better team because you don't think their QB can handle pressure.. and then pimp Derek Carr in the same breath

I’ve got Browns at 11-6. Whether that’s a WC berth or division crown will ultimately be up to Cinci, who I believe the Browns will split the season with.

Think the Steelers finish last and pick in the top 10 of the NFL draft.

I believe Jackson will miss a handful of games that will be the tipping point on Baltimore falling out of the postseason.

Chiefs and Bills win their divisions. Somebody bad wins the South. I’ve got Indi pulling it off.

Wildcards I have the Dolphins and Chargers in addition to whoever the North WC is.

  1. Buffalo
  2. Miami
  3. NYJ
  4. Cincinnati
  5. Cleveland
  6. Baltimore
  7. Pittsburgh
  8. Kansas City
  9. LAC
Only six of these teams will make the playoffs (with the seventh being the winner of the AFC South--Jags are favored, but I wouldn't count the Titans out). And that's with already counting out teams like the Patriots, Broncos and Raiders.

It's crazy. We're probably going to see some injury bugs knock a team or two out, but between our stacked division, and all the variables that could go wrong with our team, I'm not taking anything for granted--not 11 wins, not a playoff berth.

Optimistically, we ball out and go 12-5. Realistically, it's going to be a dogfight and we're going to need some luck in order to make the playoffs.

Can I ask why people like MIA over NYJ?

Can I ask why people like MIA over NYJ?
Few reasons for me:
1. Tua starts the season healthy. When Tua is healthy, the Dolphins had one of the best offensive outputs in the history of the league.
2. In my opinion, the drop off from Tua to Mike White is not as significant as the drop off was to Bridgewater or Skylar Thompson was last year.
3. I don't think Salah is a good coach, and I think McDaniel is a good coach.
4. Dolphins O-Line has improved.
5. Rodgers has bounced back before, but I'm not sure he will bounce back to near-MVP-level form this year, which I think will be required to win the division.

1. When you have to question the health of your starting QB I think that's a bit of a concern. I'm not saying your response is wrong but it's a red flag too me.
2. The upgrade from Zack Wilson to Aaron Rodgers is a larger gap then the downgrade from Tua to any of his backups.
3. Salah is pretty proven on the defensive side of the ball and still managed to come within a game of the playoffs with terrible QB play. McDaniel is a good offensive coach but he has a lot more to work with than Salah and the gap between them is close enough to where I wouldn't just declare McDaniel to be better.
4. How? Terron Armstead has like 3 different injuries right now and he's probably not going to play week 1 against Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. The rest of their O-Line if pretty underwhelming and very injury prone. Remember Kendall Lamm? That's probably their starting LT when the season starts Sunday.
5. Does he really need to be MVP form for them to make the playoffs? They barely missed it with bottom 3 QB play. Jacoby Brissette would've got them into the playoffs last season. Aaron Rodgers should be no worse than that this season which is probably enough to get that team in the playoffs.

I also think NYJ have huge question marks too. Their O-Line and WR room leave a lot to be desired buuuuuuuut Aaron Rodgers is probably good enough to minimize that.

I don’t think the Bills are making the playoffs unless Tua goes down.

SPICY.

AFCN

Bengals 11-6
Ravens 10-7
Browns 10-7
Steelers 9-8

I think the Browns come out of the gate slow, with a loss after the BYE dropping them to 2-3. Then I think they find their groove and go 8-4 the rest of the way.

Unfortunately I think our 10-7 misses out on a Wild Card due to really unfortunate tiebreakers with 4 other 10-7 finishers (Jets also miss out).

Do you have us losing both games against BAL? If not then this would put us in over them. I used a lot of simulations here.
