2024 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Enright is someone I actually have some pretty high hopes in. He was already blowing through AAA as a 25 year old before he got cancer and looked better than ever so far this year.

Aleman is all the hype but I was feeling like we should be seeing Enright sooner. Hope this injury is nothing huge.

I thought Enright would get the call before Aleman too.

Now I wonder if they'll call Walters up to Columbus because AA hitters are proving no match for him so far.

WTF are they going to do with all these BP arms? It's as bad or worse than the MIF logjam.

Curious, besides Clemmey, does Cleveland have any other young high velo 95+ MPH throwing pitchers ?

Did you mean like sub 20 in age arms?

Cleveland does focus more on college arms with plus command that they hope they can add velocity to rather than young high school arms.

I hate to say it, but honestly their success rate with high school arms and college arms are way different at the moment under Antonetti...

Seeing as the hard throwers of the system are having their shoulders and elbows exploding into a thousand pieces, I'm not sure this is a good thing. I think they need biometric analysis of how to be more 'deceptive' with deliveries so it's not just Throw Hard All The Time to get hitters out. Or just bring back the steroids, Roger Clemens was a horse.

Hmm... right now in the top 30 that are from the HS ranks essentially you would say Clemmey and Humphries... Humphries though I think normally sits 93, but in the bullpen would be 97...

Cleveland puts a lot of draft capital into college arms and not a lot of capital into international pitchers, so right now, it would just be Cantillo and Espino who were drafted as high schoolers outside of those two that are in Cleveland's top 30...

Though we did draft Zibin, Hankins, etc and they are hurt and not in our top 30. Plus Cleveland is notorious for not really letting national scouts actually scout our prospects as well so it's hard to say, but I'd say 80% of Cleveland's arms in general are college kids when we got them...

My boy JRod letting me down terribly tonight. Manzardo is 2-3 though.

Good to see Manzardo playing well, hopefully he’ll be the first offensive guy called up.

At what point do we start being concerned about DeLauter? I was hoping to see him carry his hot spring training into the start of the season but it just hasn’t happened.

He did manage to wrangle a RBI and more importantly a BB late in the game to keep his on base streak going at 22. He's gotten on base at least once in every game he's played in this season so far. Impressive.
