How many AB does Manzardo have comparatively speaking? Might be something to say about being in the lineup consistently too instead of wasting AB on guys like Rocchio.

He has 100. They have between 27 (Hedges) and 86 (Freeman)

I didn't mention Rocchio though he's not far off from Manzardo with a whopping 19 hits. I'm not going to debate Rocchio and Arias with you especially on the heels of a game Arias went 1-4 with 2 Ks and shit running down his legs from his CF play

Your comparison was a bad one, but I'm all on board with promoting Manzardo. I'd like to see Rodriguez too, but I don't know how you fit either one on the roster and give them consistent AB. You promote them and don't give them consistent AB then they'll struggle too. Then we'll be having conversations about how some mediocre player that can make more contact should be replacing them. Rinse and repeat.

Here we go. Should have known when I checked DeLauter' s baseball-reference page and it said his full name was 'Chase Edward Ilgauskas DeLauter'.

You're not getting it. The DH has often been guys getting a day off their feet while keeping their bat in the lineup.

Nobody has lost their job due to performance. If that was the case then Rocchio and Freeman wouldn't have one. Their trying to piece the puzzle together because this roster is wonky.

I understand what you're saying. I just disagree. That's where the miscommunication is. No bats on this team outside of 1-4 are necessary in the lineup. Kwan doesn't DH, Andres doesn't DH. Jose does, but maybe rest would more beneficial for him than going 0-4 at the plate in the DH role. Josh's bat will stay in the lineup regardless whether he's at 1B or DH with Manzardo.

The rest of the guys are replaceable and can battle over ABs at C, SS and OF. Rocchio and Arias are having a healthy competition for who can be worse in the field and at the plate.
Freeman, Brennan, Florial and Fry can split time in OF. Bo and Fry can fight out ABs at C. None of the 7 guys I mentioned are necessary bats in the lineup except maybe Fry or Brennan at this point. So none of them need to "get off their feet"

Most likely halfway up the wall in LC with where he hit that. Either a 2B or a great catch by the LF.

Definitely isn’t a HR in Progressive Field.
