The Golden State Warriors have agreed to trade Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod to the Indiana Pacers for Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell, NBA front-office sources tell ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

The trade is scheduled to be announced later Wednesday.

Looks like Golden State is gonna look a bit different than we thought this weekend.

WOW....now that is a trade fellas

8 player trade...you know this kind of stuff makes me randi dont you??

I think GS makes out like a bandit if they can get Stepehn Jackson to stop being an idiot all the time...not sure why Pacers traded Harrington

When I saw it George, I had to check the name at the top of the story to make sure it didn't say "The George". This is exactly the kind of stuff you come up with.

The Pacers are just obviously tired of SJax and probably had to throw in Harrington to make it work. Or, maybe Jermaine O'Neal's "unhappiness" with the organization was the catalyst to a move like this.

That's trading a team for another team. Insanity. 8 players, most of whom are starters or non-scrubs. Should be interesting.

this also could be Indy trying to get Maggette from LA Clips

it has been rumored that Dunleavy Sr might want his son on the team...maybe Indiana will do that

Damn my Indy friends are NOT happy with this...they hate it :chuckles:

but yes this does indeed make me excited....it doesnt even involve a team i like...i just like trades...its a sickness

This is Indy blowing up their team. Any of the players they traded for could be had.

shame they all suck....minus Diogu but they will prolly wanna keep him

it will be interesting to see how they deal with Jermaine O'Neal here in the future like this summer

Actually, I think INDY might be the winners here.. If Murphy gets back to form, they have two double digit rebounders in that Front Court... Mike D. could use the change of scenery, and I think Diogu could become a very solid player...And might ultimately prove to be the best player in this deal down the road..

The problem from INDY's standpoint is-- these guys are not defenders, and that's Carlisle's staple as a coach...

As for the Warriors, I'm not sure why they do this ? Al Harrington I guess.. But, Jackson is a flake, and Sarunas plays well at times, but is nothing special.. Maybe they'll flourish in Don Nelson's run-gun style.. Sarunas especially..

BTW, this deal means every team in our division has made a move to try to improve themselves either in the offseason, or during the season with the exception of the Cavs...

Sarunas sounds happy about it(his hot ass wife is in Cali so that's a bonus). I don't think he's thrilled that Jackson is part of it since Jax was a constant source of turnmoil in their locker room.
Dunleavy, Murph, AH, Jax, and Saras are all players that needed a change of scenery. It will be interesting to see which players play inspired after the trade.

How does Al Harrington feel about getting traded by the Pacers, then going through hell just to sign back with them this summer, just to get traded again.

It would be nice if the would just drop Stephen Jackson out of the side of the plane in the middle of nevada. I'd hate to have to deal with that f**ktwit in my locker room.

Yep, Jackson is a headcase. I don't know why GS wants him. They'll be sorry they did this deal.
