Can we begin taking wagers on when his steroid usage becomes public?

That dude is huge...He already has 27 homers, hitting two more tonight.

how about we go with before or after David Ortiz's comes out. Or how about Travis Hafners?

Well if Pronk already tested positive we may find it out later. However, as most people have probably noticed, Hafner looks like he has lost about 60 lbs of muscles this season (obviously because he got off the juice) and won't test positive now..

I agree with all above. There are about one hundred names on that list that haven't been made public. We know it's just a matter of time. I think it stinks that the list is not just laid out there. The longer this drags on with drips and drabs coming out each year, the more it hurts baseball in general.

I think it's very clear of some other names on that list. Albert and Travis are two that comes to mind. No one can tell me Hafner lost all that weight/muscle because he wanted to run faster or because he was injured. How stupid do people think the fans are?

you know that baseball has gotten to a sad state when we just have to assume the best player in the game is on the juice because he's big. no one, and i mean no one at this point would shock me.

I went to the Tribe game last night, and maybe it's just how shitty our team is, but I really think baseball is in a very terrible place right now. If I was Selig, I'd seriously consider contracting some teams.

But yeah, I also think a lot of this has to do with how fucking bad the Indians are right now.

Did you think Manny was using? Me neither. I agree, it's pretty sad that we all just assume it's so, but can you blame anyone for thinking this way? I certainly don't.

I agree, but at least we know Big Al is a good person...that's got to count for something.

Pujols has always been a big guy though. He's not like McGwire or Bonds in that in the course of one offseason he managed to put on 30 pounds of muscle. But Manny and Clemens proved that you don't have to look like a bodybuilder to be on roids so you never know.

I don't think Albert is on the juice but he is from the Dominican Republic so he could actually be like 55 years old using HGH like crazy.

70% of baseball was juicing. I bet you ped's are pretty common in the nba too. (obviously in the nfl, but thats a different story)...it might not be anabalic steroids in the nba, but i am sure players are taking supliments that are "banned"...heck over half of the crap at gnc would make most major sports banned list.

Ohhh...who knew weight loss would come 2.5 years after his power takes a huge dive.

60 pounds or not...his power looks fine now.

No player can lose weight these days without a PR disaster, so poor choice on his part to try and extend his career by losing weight...

Well, we know a player of his stature is not juicing now while the spotlight is on, especially on the higher profiled names...Which makes his current season amazing..

Look at his stats..

 http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6619

Unreal.. That's a great season for most players, and he's just halfway though... This has the potential to be historic IMO... No idea why AP doesn't get more love actually ?

Can anyone find what some of the best seasons were at the all star break ?? Do they keep that stat ?

Albert is probably my favorite MLB player. He's amazing. I find it very unlikely he is juicing right now, too...cue all the cliche "NO ONE IS ABOVE SUSPICION NO ONE IS ABOVE SUSPICION ZOMG" skeptics, and maybe they are right. But I love Pujols either way.

I really hope his amazing season reaches historic proportions and he proves to be clean. It will be very good for baseball.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pujols used to be on the juice. The dude was just massive when he entered the league at age 20. His legs were the size of tree trunks at age 20... that's just not normal.

Bonds had 39 home runs at the break when he hit 73.

The player I always wondered about was Juan Gonzalez... He was one of my favorite players growing up..

He had it all... Great size, power, average, speed (not a base stealer though)-- good arm in right as well..

The season he had in 1998 was great.. Hell, the season he had here the first year to replace Manny (2001? I believe) was great with Lofton, Omar and Robbie setting the table for him..

Juan Gonzalez? One of the poster boys from the 90s. Weight-lifting junkie who had a personal trainer with him at all times in his entourage. Think Sammy Sosa bloated up? Juan was a twig when he entered the bigs. He is one of the guys (not McGwire, who added his over a # of years) who came back one offseason with 30 lbs. of muscle.
