ESPN's webpage title reads "Sources: Cavs inching closer to deal for Amare Stoudemire", which I believe is closer to the facts of the article than "closing in on a deal" suggests. ESPN chose to run with the more sensational headline, though.

Getting from where they are to closing the deal is still a big gap to close.

Say this shit goes down, how soon until they all mesh together? Will STAT defer to LBJ and Shaq at times? How the hell is anyone going to score in the paint with all 3 of them out there? Sorry just late night rumblings

I have never been so close to rofl'ing in my life. It's a bit funnier though because it's nearly 3:30 in the morning.

This deal would screw Miami so hard. All of a sudden the #1 and #3 free agents on their summer wish list are off limits and Riley's master plan is a complete disaster unless they land Bosh.

This has to be exciting for Chicago and New York too. The odds of them landing Wade over the summer go up exponentially if Ferry pulls this off.

I'm gonna call BS simply because J-Rich doesn't seem to be involved (unless they're just not reporting it).

No way we get Amare for Z and JJ.

That title and article are so misleading. It sounds like the deal is done and will happen, but what it's really saying is that we've officially made our offer and it's up to PHX to accept/decline it. I hope we offered a tad more than just JJ and Z. Perhaps cash and picks?
