Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

I personally don't think he is gonna play. He knows he is gonna be moved, what motivation does he will have to go out on the court and play hard for the Suns. He has been in trade rumors for the past 2-3 seasons. The writing is on he wall, he knows he is not coming back and the Suns know it. Just trade the man already...
While this is true, why did they bother playing him last night?

The contract negotiations over the weekend didn't go well, and at that point they knew he was as good as gone...but they still played him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him suit up tonight.

I can't wait for something to happen. Partly because I'm excited to see what move we make...

...But mostly because I never want to come back to this thread ever again. It's like a bad addiction. I just keep hitting refresh over and over and over again. I keep expecting to come home from work to a room full of teary-eyed family and friends.

No, no, no.

Obviously, LeBron is great.

But Cleveland wouldn't be anything without an owner who is willing to go above and beyond with his $$$. Check the current state of the Indians for the reverse option.

The owner willing to spend wouldn't be here at the first place if it wasn't for LeBron.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

We need this to be the Amare Safari vs. Antawn *insert witty name* thread, since we're getting one or the other.

I wonder how many F5 keys will have to be replaced after the trade deadline?

More Wiz talk:
Ernie Grunfeld was talking to a group of reporters about why he made the trade with Dallas on Saturday, when an off-key singing voice came howling from the other end of the hallway outside the Wizards' practice court at Verizon Center.

"I got a feeling - whoo! Hoo! That tonight's gonna be a good night," Antawn Jamison sang, smiling.

At the time it seemed that Jamison's choice of the Black Eyed Peas song, "I got a feeling" was hint of something prescient, like maybe a trade. The Wizards intensified their talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, with the trade deadline closing in. Yahoo! Sports reported that the Cavaliers are considering a deal that would send Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Jamario Moon and a No. 1 pick to Washington for Jamison and the seldom-used Mike James.

I spoke to several people about that proposal Tuesday night, and while no one denied that those players had been discussed, they all admitted that it was among several deals that the teams are talking about. One person familiar with the discussion said that reported deal had "no chance" of going down. But it seems apparent that nothing will go down until the Phoenix Suns decide what they are going to do with Amare Stoudemire.

Based on my conversations, I am under the impression that the Cavaliers would prefer to acquire Stoudemire, a 26-year-old all-star stud who is also being pursued by the Miami Heat. The Suns and Cavaliers discussed a possible deal over the weekend in Dallas, but Cleveland would like to cover its tail with Phoenix stalling. The Cavaliers have two other solid offers on the table for Troy Murphy and Corey Maggette, but Jamison appears to be the next option after Stoudemire.

The Wizards have also spoken to Miami and Boston about Jamison, who stands as the last member of the so-called "Big Three" remaining with Caron Butler in Dallas and Gilbert Arenas suspended for the rest of the season. Jamison would like to play for a championship, but to some around the league, there is still some doubt about Grunfeld's willingness to help Cleveland win. And, according to a league source, if Jamison is dealt, his preference would be Boston over Cleveland.

There was some speculation, given life on D.C. radio, that the Wizards would try to package Jamison and Mike Miller to acquire Shaquille O'Neal. That has been shot down by everyone I spoke to yesterday because Cleveland has no desire or plans to move O'Neal, who has been everything they had hoped he would be and more. Also, the Wizards don't want to move Miller and would like to re-sign him after this season.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

I think an Amar'e trade won't happen until sometime on Thursday. Phoenix is giving Miami every chance in the world to find a 3rd team, and they are also holding out and hoping that Philly will give up Iguodala. I think something like noon on Thursday would work in terms of a deadline.

Yeah I agree, I'm suprised my F5 button hasn't stopped working yet.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

Is it true that this morning on Mike and Mike around the 8:55 mark they referenced the Amare to Cleveland deal as "imminent" according to Broussard and Bucher??

A friend of mine heard this and I want to make sure he heard correctly.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

if Miami hasnt found a third team by now i feel like they wont find one. they have had enough time to call every team in the league by now. phoenix has to realize that the amare to cle deal is inevitable.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

I have no interest in reading this thread, and I am Cavs board junkie. No way anyone would pay money to read this unless the are clinically insane.

Or about 13 years old.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

This is nuts, so Windy had mostly good news in the chat?

Glad he had to mention, as we t alk about landing a young STAR, Lebron going to NY.

Re: Amar'e Safari: Officially The Greatest Thead in RCF HISTORY !

Why the hell Boston though, you won't be a starter, at least on the Cavs you'll be a starter. I'm tired of our town being second, fuck you Jamison.
