I'm not sure why anyone would prefer Jamison when Amare is an option. If anything, Amare is an easier transition as he's played with Shaq before and he excels at the very things we try to get JJ to do in our offense.

A few opinions from someone who has always been a AJ fan and wanted him before the Amare trade stuff started.
A few AJ plusses,IMO,he its better when Shaq is on the floor,for a team that stands around alot this guy is continual motion,kind of like a taller Rip,better attitude and I believe is more driven,doesn`t care about being the big dog,is probably a better teammate,shoots much better from the outside.Those are a few that I can think of off the top of my head.Oh also,I would think that he would come without giving up JJ and JJ sure could learn ALOT from AJ about that position.

Amare and Shaq didn't work for 2 years because they didn't have Lebron.

We dont need ANOTHER 3 pt shooter in our rotation. Him having a better 15-18 foot jumper than Jamison is enough stretching for me.

Also, "probably" a better teammate? So you're just assuming. Lots of guys who actually know Amare would disagree.

most seasons the trade deadline is interesting but this year it is especially interesting because of the motivations for some of these trades. for example if the Bulls make a deal for McGrady that includes Miller, Thomas, and Hinrich does that mean they are willing to pack it in and not worry aboubt making the playoffs for a chance to sign Wade this summer? not that any of those players are great but with them they can push to as high as the 5th seed. sure maybe they still lose in the 1st rd but they also gain 2 additional game of revenue.

Mannix has been a breath of fresh air in the media regarding this whole deadline situation, but I gotta say: I'm not worried, AT ALL, about a 'hot J.J. Reddick' in the ECF.
