Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
im gonna ask it here, cuz i dont know where else to ask it, and im sure its been asked before, but im asking...

why did we move z's contract rather than wally's? what are we gonna do about wally???

Z's contract is already mostly paid. We would have to pay Wally straight up and the league wouldn't appreciate us signing someone for 11 million dollars just to match contracts.

Edit: BigMar

Just curious, why didn't they use Wally instead of Z?

Because Z trading Z is much cheaper, they don't have to pay the whole 11 mill, part of it is already paid.

We would have to pay LOTS of luxury tax money, keeping Z(11 mill) + Jamison (11 mill).

I'd say ease Twan into the lineup. The dude's been averaging 38 mpg on that shitty Wizards team in a 33 yo body. Continue with JJ in the starting lineup with AV as backup C till Z gets back and let Jamison take AV's old minutes.

After Z hopefully he resigns, I'd like to see Jamison, Shaq, and Z only getting around 25mpg max till the postseason comes around. We have a very deep team right now but in the playoffs rotations shorten so better to try keep the fresh legs on our old bodies as much as possible

haha this was kinda cheesy but it still made me laugh hard...

Yeah but what will that do for our roster situation? It'd essentially be a 1 for 0 trade so we'd have to cut 2 players when Z gets back.

edit: also if we don't use Wally, we better at least buy a draft pick.

It'd likely be a Zerbs and Darnell or something like that. Maybe we move someone else of lesser significance? Who knows? I'm going to bed, I'm dead.

Well at least now I don't have to hang a poster of Steve Kerr in my living room, so that's a plus.

wanted Amare, but trading Jamison without giving up JJ>Amare

I wish people would stop saying AJ will start probably when Z gets back!!! NO way in hell will it take that long... the only way he stays on the bench for 30+ (30 days start when he is bought out I think... either way 30 friggen days!) is because he will always come off the bench! If we weren't getting him to be a starter, why in the heck did we get him?? We got him to be a stretch 4... you think we got him to stretch for Z or AV??? Let's come back to Earth people! Why would you wait til we have a few games left (we only have 28... how many after 30 days) to add someone to the starting line-up? Again, doesn't make any sense!!!

Uh, Rockets just got Kevin Martin... if anyone cares.

If you are right about this... that team will be real good again soon. I do not like It for the fact I want Yao as a cav this upcoming year.

Per Marc Stein Twitter:

Trade-deadline alert just filed to ESPN.com: Rockets have agreement in principal with Sacramento to acquire Kevin Martin

Houston gets Martin
New York gets McGrady
Sacramento gets ??? from New York

I'm assuming this would involve Jeffries, and some of Hughes/Harrington/Hill

Bwahaha, I hope Sacramento gets McGrady. How hilarious would that be for Houston to suddenly dick over both Chicago AND New York? :chuckles:

EDIT: Assuming this is only between the Kings and Rockets.

woah woah woah wtf?

Kevin Martin to the Rockets?

How??

Martin & Noc for McGrady? I don't know if that even works...
