Amar'e Safari 2015 Reboot - Fooled Thrice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How painful would it have been if Z turned into Boozer for a different team?

Tawn Army was the right choice.

Any word on whether or not Jamison will play on Thursday?

All 5 players need to have their physicals performed/waived before anyone involved in the deal can play.

In other words, highly doubtful he plays tomorrow, but we should see him in action Friday in Charlotte.

...we could have got Boozer? (by trading Z ourselves for him)

Jamison was our guy all along, then.

Hmm.

If that is the case then we played this as well as we possibly could. We managed to get into enough talks that in basketball terms we got Jamison for free. I am honestly not sure we could have gotten a more lopsided trade.

fuck that complicated stuff, we could have lost a lot of pieces if we went that route, not even get Z back. Glad, we got the Jamison deal for nothing.

+25 to Danny Ferry playing his hand well.

Finally giving back to this organization.

JJ off the table killed the deal?

Yikes

Me thinks that's a good place to start for Phinny hatin r offa

No...the article specifically states we pulled JJ off the table today....

That's not how I read it.

I read it as, PHX used our original offer that included JJ to try and get Boozer (knowing the Jazz could buy out Z to get under the tax threshold).

When we found out about this, we took JJ off the table because the deal with Washington had been put in place.

My guess is, Kerr told them he was trying to get Utah involved, and the Cavs did not want to wait and risk that falling through. Probably figured Kerr was never going to take the JJ deal anyway.

No way Ferry pulled JJ off the table.

Sorry, refuse to believe it. Refuse.

Meh, I don't think so either. I don't think he liked the idea of getting another team involved.

Here is what the article said:

"In reality, the chances of Stoudemire being traded went from strong to doubtful Wednesday, when Cleveland pulled power forward J.J. Hickson out of a potential deal with the Suns."

I read the rest of the article as we watered down the offer based on having Jamison trade agreed upon. Again, hard to believe.
