I loved season 2. That's when I became an official fan. Season one was okay, kinda lackluster, but Jessica Lange carried it almost on her own to still make it watchable at least.

Season 3, I thought wasn't that bad. I didn't love it, but didn't hate it either.

I just started Freak Show, season 4, and thus far I'm not feeling it. I'm watching them on Netflix so I'm behind most of you.

Does the show ever return to its awesomeness of season 2?

. This show is supposed to be disturbing and get a "wow" factor. If people bitch about it, then simply don't watch the fucking show...

I liked prior seasons, but....just because something is disturbing doesn't make it entertaining. Watching some dude with a strap on drill ass rape a guy really isn't something that I want to watch, so I punted on this season after that scene.

Maybe next year...

That scene didn't really stand out to me as any more disturbing than a lot of the other shit the second time I watched the episode. I watched the first two episodes twice because I was losing interest about 3/4 of the way through both and because my parents were in town and wanted to see it. I really don't want to lose the show, so I figured I'd give it another shot.

I still think they're just way too long. There's no show on TV that deserves to be a fucking hour and a half.

But that scene didn't stand out as much as it did once I got the backstory on the cock-drill guy. It was just another disturbing scene when I rewatched.

There have actually been other scenes that I found a little more gratuitous than that one.

On another note, Lady Gaga has been really impressive. I remember being surprised by how cool and talented she was when I heard her on Stern a few years ago because I don't like her music. But she's a damn good actress and she's been such a sexpot on the show that I've found I can get past her real life unattractiveness and get a boner for her.

Atmosphere and plot were excellent.

I'm gonna give the show one more chance.

The last season was so bad in a variety of ways that I felt validated in never watching again, but I'm hoping they stfu about gaga and stop catering her fans.. one more shot

haven't watched this one yet, but I agree with Dave, what a terrible last season. I have only heard good things about this one so far, so looking forward to it tonight.

And I was actually kind of feeling Gaga's yam-bones last season, that had me double checking on my priorities.

Watched it, and actually got the GF to watch it. She was freaked out. Neighbors probably thought I murdered her. I turned off all the lights and ran into the bedroom and left her in the living room. She almost cried. Classic.

Good start. I am really confused, though. Not sure if it is because I am a piece of shit or that everyone is confused.
