Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Talk to me after the Cavs win it all this year.

Make no mistake, it wasn't a mistake.
I'm not saying they wont win it nor i'm saying they will,
Just saying that the trade was not optimal

The Cavs could not have gotten Love after the season.

Are you saying he would have preferring going to Lakers/Knicks/GSW?
perhaps.
why give Bennet in this trade? why pick him in the first place at number 1? he's young oh, so he played miserably on his rookie season.
He had a bad coach, that's it.
He has so much potential, he is built like a tank, wide as hell and has good mass, shoots great from midrange, pnr player, seriously.
they could have settled for wiggins + 2 first round picks eventually.
Wiggins and Bennet stock value could have rised till february

Or the stock could've fallen.

This was a win now trade. We weren't going to wait for Wiggins and Bennett to develop into the players they potentially could be. There is still a chance Wiggins won't become this star/superstar everyone thinks he will be.

The Love trade was a good thing to do especially during the off season and not making a major trade in February that could disrupt chemistry.

No. It would have literally been impossible to sign him after this season. We don't have cap space next off-season.

The trade cannot be judged until one of two things happen: Love re-signs with CLE next summer, OR CLE wins the championship THIS season. Either scenario assumes James does take his player option or signs another deal with CLE.

If neither of these two things happen, the trade may well wind up as one of the worst in the history of the NBA.

We will see. Go Cavs!

Minnesota is getting a lot of their veterans. Martin, Pek, and Young have played well.

Interesting rebuild. They're trying to avoid the tank by playing veterans but still have managed to get some good young talent. They really aren't trying to ride any of their young guys right now

Will be interesting to see what happens with them versus a team like philly.

Minnesota are way ahead of Philly, Noel is a bust.
Philly have no playmaker like Rubio which fits Bennet and Wiggins..
Minnesotas only mistake is giving Pekovic an extension worth too much, now no1 is going to take him.
He's heavy and not worth the price, he's 29 and does not help the rebuilding process.

Noel is a bust? You have to give a few years before you judge most picks let alone a guy who is coming off a major injury. Philly has a ton of assets going forward.

Also hard to judge young guys when they are shielded by veterans. Look at Thompson this year versus last for example

Lol, Noel is a bust, really? He is just coming off an injury. It'll take him a while, but I expect him to be the same he was as Kentucky before the injury. Explosive, shot blocker, etc.

Oh, Philly does have a playmaker, his name is MCW.

Don't they wanna trade him for some reason?

MCW is older for a second year player (23), and it's doubtful he ever develops into a reliable outside shooter. Philly knows it's still multiple seasons away from competing for a playoff spot, they'll move anyone outside Embiid, Noel, and Saric for future picks.

From my understanding, Philly is brutally analytic in a Bill Belichick type of way. Part of the MCW thought process is that there are some many good PG's in the league that it simply better to sell high (i.e. MCW) to get a better shot at value at more critical spot. You can then get a replacement level PG easier in the open market or by trade when the rest of team has improved talent wise

Looks like everyone's concerns were legit. Going to be several years for Wiggins to develop at least.

I took down a number of posts due to name calling and flat out trolling.

Quit it. There is your warning.
