Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have to say that I didn't expect the Seattle defense (who I started) to outscore the Panthers defense (who my opponent started) this week, but I'll take it. :chuckle:

Terrible call on Robinson over Hilton, Randle, and pretty much any WR in the league. I apologize :party smiley 004:

Hah...

Well despite getting 7 pts from my running backs I still might win. I am up 29 and he has a quarter left of Khiry Robinson, then Edelman and Gostkowski tomorrow.

In my other league.....just lol.

stafford 25
bush 5
blount 3
deangelo williams 3
garcon 2
jordan matthews 2
crabtree 4
gronk
panthers -7
tucker 8

lmao

So I'm down by 35 with Edelman and Brady to play, should I drop Crowell and pick up KC D for a chance at couple more points to win?

I picked up Matt Asiata last week when AP got banned... Glad I did, gave me 28 much needed points with 4 byes this week.
Thinking about picking up Jerick McKinnon as well.

So regretting drafting Jason W. as the 4th TE off the board this year.. He's been so trash.

Man...what a rough day for my non-PPR 12-teamer.

Foles - 5
McCoy - 1
F. Jackson - 8
Julio - 8
Bryant - 10
Patterson - 6
Daniels - 4
Parkey - 3

My highest scorer was the damn Dolphins defense with 17. What a ridiculously shitty fantasy day.

In my PPR league, I'm currently up 11 with Jamaal Charles left to play. My opponent has Edelman. Hopefully Charles nets me more than the six points he's totaled up to this point, or I'm going to lose. Granted, I didn't even start a defense this week, but still.

I'll be 4-0 in two leagues, 2-2 in the RBF league (highest scoring team again) and 1-3 in my final two.

12-8 on the season, need to right the ship in those 1-3 leagues, I have a championship to defend and a runner up finish to avenge between those two.

I really need to make some sort of move for a RB in my 12-teamer. I just have no consistency there.

1. McCoy has been absolutely terrible the past two weeks, and I'm starting to get concerned that he won't be getting much better.
2. Gerhart was a dumpster fire and I dropped him. He finally found the end zone yesterday, but still only scored 8 points, so I'm not exactly kicking myself.
3. Fred Jackson has been decent for an RB3, but I don't want to be starting him like I am right now.
4. I have Ben Tate, but am not sure if he can stay healthy or remain the primary back in Cleveland.
5. Knile Davis is only nice in the event that Charles gets hurt, which is obviously not a guarantee. He's pretty useless otherwise.
6. DeAngelo Williams didn't do much yesterday. Neither did the rest of the Carolina team, though, so whatever.

I also have Carlos Hyde, but am dropping him this week in an attempt to pick up Ryan Matthews, who someone dropped over the weekend.

Here's a question...do I hold on to Williams and see what he does, or target someone else? I was thinking about picking up either West or Crowell as Tate insurance. Who do you guys think is the better gamble? I'm leaning toward Crowell, as he seems to be the more explosive runner of the two.

Making a trade is a possibility as well, but I'd like to wait it out one more week and see how Wes Welker does in his first game back after the bye. I don't really count that game against Seattle, as he had limited practice time and was going up against an elite defense.

Crowell better gamble, seems to be more suited for goal-line carries than West as well. He's also probably the most talented of the running backs. I would drop Deangelo before Hyde. Carolina running backs haven't been good for years. There's always a chance that Gore goes down and Hyde will beast if he's the #1 back. I would definitely try to scoop up Mathews, as Donald Brown might be worse than Trent, and with Woodhead out, Mathews should once again carry the load in SD (probably get hurt again from all the touches). Is Mark Ingram available? He should be back soon and he is clearly the best RB in New Orleans.

Shady will be fine.

Don't worry about dropping a Jags RB.

Get by with Fjax until things shape up or Mathews gets healthy.

Thanks for the input.

Yeah, Fred Jackson was my starter this week and netted eight points, which isn't awful. That would have been Gerhart's best performance of the year (ironically, he also had eight points, but he did it on waivers). I agree about Hyde, but if I want to grab Matthews and Crowell, I'll have to drop them both, or drop Tate, which I would prefer not to do, as he will more than likely be the RB1 when healthy. Ingram is not available, at least not on the waiver wire.

I'd drop a receiver instead, but just don't have that option. My receiving corps right now is Bryant, Julio, Patterson, Hopkins, Welker, and Gordon, none of whom are guys that you would drop. Gordon is obviously a stash guy, but he's going to occupy a roster spot until he comes back for obvious reasons. I'll probably look to deal one of those guys over the next few weeks for a more reliable RB if possible.

With that in mind, who would you guys see as some buy low candidates? I'm thinking Lacy might be a good target. I just don't think he can remain as bad as he's been with the passing game the Packers have, and he's gone up against some tough defenses early in the season. Any others?

Cordarrelle is extremely droppable / I'd try to trade him. I have him in 2 leagues and will most likely drop him. I figured Teddy would help him out but starting him is just killing me and I'd rather not even have the temptation of starting him.

Buy low RBs: Lacy, Stacy, Ball, Rashad Jennings, Ellington, Ivory, Knowhshon - last 3 are more risky hence the buy low. Depends if you are PPR as well. Ball, Stacy, and Ellington already having bye weeks is a nice plus too. When I look for RBs, I look for guys who have little to no competition. Only guys with competition here are Ivory and Knowshon, but I think they are also clearly the best backs on those teams and will eventually win out / get the goalline carries, which is what matters most.

I'm not opposed to trading Patterson, but I hate the idea of dropping him. Too much potential, and the waiver wire in this league (12 teams, start two RBs and three WRs) is slim pickings. Torrey Smith and Mike Evans are really the only two names that merit even mentioning that are on the waiver wire right now, and neither has been better than Patterson so far this year.

As far as RBs go, this is not a PPR league and there's no flex. My RB core was weakened significantly by Gerhart's suckitude. I was expecting him to at least be a passable RB2 given that Jacksonville literally has no one else to give the ball too. I didn't anticipate just how awful both the Jags and Gerhart apparently are. So mostly I'm just hoping McCoy figures out how to be an actual RB again and looking to upgrade my RB2 situation. Tate might work in the short term if he can stay healthy, but I'd rather try to buy low on another guy and cross my fingers that he rounds into form.

I'll see if I can get anyone to bite on Patterson this week. If not, I'll see how Welker does in week five and maybe make a move then. I'm 2-2, so it's not a total disaster just yet. Just a really, really terrible week.

So that Jamaal Charles I paid fifty dollars for in my fantasy auction finally showed up tonight. It's glorious. What a fucking bloodbath.

You know it's been a good fantasy week when you lead the league in scoring during a week that Calvin Johnson scores three points for you. :chuckle:

Okay...here's an interesting question...

PPR league, ten teams, WR4/5: Cordarrelle Patterson or Michael Floyd? I just noticed that Floyd was on waivers and was thinking of snagging him.

Current Bench:
Tony Romo
DeAndre Hopkins
Mark Ingram
Josh Gordon
Chris Ivory
Knile Davis (handcuff to Charles, my starter)
Cordarrelle Patterson

Alternatively, I could drop Ivory, but that might leave me a little thin at RB, as I start a WR (Jordy Nelson) at the flex.
