Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm in a PPR league with some of the guys from my job and I got the first overall pick for the second time. Last year I took AP and I wasn't pleased at all with his production. Minnesota wasn't a good team last year so they were playing from behind a lot. Therefore not really running the ball much... I'm pretty sure I'm going Charles this year. I love the receptions he gets per game. Last year was my first fantasy experience and I definitely underestimated how much of a difference PPR scoring makes. I'm excited to draft next Saturday because I actually know what I'm doing this time around.

I'm still going AP if I were you. Even McCoy. His catches will go down with Sproles now but he has a good line and still will see a bunch.

Shit, I'm even thinking Forte over Charles. CHI pass game is gonna be nuts. Forte is gonna be open and ready.

I will be surprised if Jamaal stays healthy two years I'm a row. I couldn't believe he made it through all of last season honestly.

Just finished my draft. It's me and 11 other people, 12 teams total.

Scoring type type is head-to-head. Positions needed on roster - QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, W/R/T, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

QB: Russell Wilson - Bye Week: 4
WR: Larry Fitzgerald - Bye Week: 4
WR: Vincent Jackson - Bye Week: 7
RB: LeSean McCoy - Bye Week: 4
RB: Carlos Hyde - Bye Week: 8
TE: Martellus Bennett - Bye Week: 9
FLEX: Greg Jennings - Bye Week: 10
FLEX: Brandin Cooks - Bye Week: 6
K: Stephen Gostkowski - Bye Week: 10
DEF: Seattle - Bye Week: 4
Bench: Tom Brady - Bye Week: 10
Bench: Benjamin Watson - Bye Week: 6
Bench: Marqise Lee - Bye Week: 11
Bench: Ahmad Bradshaw - Bye Week: 10
Bench: Joe Flacco - Bye Week: 11

Note - rule in the league is you can't put a QB in the FLEX, new rule this year, also, lineup is not set in stone.

What do you guys think?

PPR or no? 4 or 6 point pass TDs?

My honest take is this looks like a bad auto draft team.

Watson shouldn't have been drafted and there's no reason to have three QBs.

Six points for passing touchdown is the league value. I believe it is standard scoring, PPR, what you said.

All I know is yes, my RB's suck, but I did get a B- from Yahoo. :chuckles:

Have fun in last

:runs:

You're going to want to flex Brady and Flacco. I play with the same type of roster with 2 flex whatever you wants. Crazy set up but it's amazingly fun. The 6 points per passing TD is absurd however. Honestly though, if I had your team right now, I would have already dropped 5 players. I'm still trying to figure out who were your 2nd and 3rd round picks. Going to be a rough year for you. To end on a positive note, at least you have McCoy, Seattle, and a good kicker.

I figured it was vjax and fitz then god knows after that.

you wont finish last. you will fight for the playoffs but you definitely need to make moves during the season.

You NEED to trade one of your QB's and get a RB. Your WR's are fine. THey aren't any in the top of the league but they will put up good/steady numbers for you.

As I said, first step is trading a QB.

I'd try and keep Brady of the three, Russ and Flacco don't throw enough TDs to keep

Had the 10th pick in a .25 PPR, 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D/ST, IDP league (order flips for IDP, so I had #1), with return yards:

QB - Romo
QB - Wilson
RB - Lacy
RB - Stacy
WR - Marshall
WR - R. White
WR - Wallace
TE - Graham
K - Walsh
D/ST - Patriots

DL - Watt
LB - Worrilow
LB - Wagner
DB - Micah Hyde

BN - Gerhart
BN - T. Williams
BN - P. Thomas
BN - Decker
BN - Clay
BN - Hopkins
BN - McCown

do me do me

ESPN PPR, I'm guessing they are default PPR rules. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/FLEX/D/K. 14 man snake draft, I was pick #5.

QB Cam Newton, Eli Manning
RB Marshon Lynch, Montee Ball, Maurice Jones-Drew, Knowshon Moreno, Jordan Todman
WR Alshon Jeffery, TY Hilton, DeAndre Hopkins, Rueben Randle
TE Jordan Reed, Garret Graham
D/ST Bills
K Nick Novak

Was set to pick up Panthers D, then a person about 3 slots ahead of me picked them up which snowballed into the good defenses going, so I waited a few more rounds

Did literally zero prep for the draft so aside from the two guys who I know I wanted (Jordan Reed was my "sleeper" TE, my best pick up last year...and Knowshon Moreno just so I could preserve my team name of Moreno Loving) I used a combination of last year's stats, ESPN projections, cool names, and avoiding white guys.

Probably too RB heavy since its a PPR.

Draft order was

1. Lynch
2. Newton
3. Jeffery
4. Ball
5. Reed
6. Hilton
7. Jones-Drew
8. Moreno
9. Hopkins
10. Eli
11. Randle
12. Novak
13. Bills D/ST
14. Graham
15. Todman
16. Starks

Damn 14 man league sucks compared to 10 man league, I feel like I will have to try a lot harder

.25 ppr makes Wallace a damn good #3, any higher scoring and you would probably be starting Terrance Williams as your 3

How many people are in your league? Like 8? Your team is pretty damn good.

I am not high on Newton as others are, but I don't mind your team, especially for a 14-teamer. Your WR's are going to be hit or miss.

As I said, I think I woulda skipped on Newton in the 2nd (2nd for Newton?!!!!!!!) and picked up a stud WR. And you are really reaching for Reed in the 5th, but you should do good.

Jamaal Charles missed Saturday's game due to a bruised foot he suffered while moving some boxes.
