Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Stuck trying to decide between Shane Vereen @ NYJ or Bishop Sankey @ WAS. Any opinions? And does anyone hold out hope AP sees any time this year?

You think so? I have to decide between Hoyer (v JAX) and Cam Newton (v GB).

Green Bay has terrible run D but great pass D, Jacksonville has terrible pass D but so-so run D.

I think Newton should be the easy decision, but my decision to play Hoyer over Newton last week cost me a W, so eh...

absolutely insane to start Hoyer over Newton. Although I have been starting Wilson over Cam, that will no longer be the case that Cam is getting carries again.

If Newton didn't have the week he did last week, I wouldn't think it's that insane....Hoyer has been putting up numbers comparable to Newton

I have AP in 3/4 leagues. Won't be dropping him in 2 of them until it's official, just because I did the same with Josh Gordon and now it's going to cost me big time. I am not expecting him to play another snap this year though.

As for the RB situation, I have to believe you can do better than both of those options. You can't waiver McKinnon or Ingram? I guess if forced to pick between those 2, I would go Vereen since I know he will be their 3rd down RB and at least get some catches in addition to rushing yards here and there. Whisenhunt apparently hates Sankey for reasons nobody knows...I mean they brought in Jackie Battle for 1 carry last week to vulture the TD from Sankey. Sankey is due to start being a decent option but I wouldn't risk it yet, especially if Shonn Greene is going to play.

I consider Newton to be a QB1 and Hoyer to be a QB2. Hoyer might compare to or even beat Newton some weeks, but Newton pretty obviously has the higher ceiling, so you go with him.

They've been holding Newton back because of his rib injury.

Rushing attempts by game: 4, 2, 2, 6, 17...when healthy Cam is probably the top QB

I can snag McKinnon but I was worried about the matchup. I guess it's not any worse than the matchups the other guys have. Maybe I'll try him.

For those of you talking about dropping/keeping AP, if you are in a 12/14 team league, no way there are any guys good enough on the waiver wire to replace him.

Unless your QB has a bye and you really don't want to replace your QB, you hold onto him in case something crazy happens. I don't believe at all he will play but who the hell knows.

Yeah, I think you have to hold onto him by sheer virtue of not getting screwed by someone else picking him up and then him getting reactivated in time for the playoffs.

I've been looking to upgrade my qb play since Stafford hhasnt been doing it for me. I picked up palmer and have been offered the following trades. Its a qb driven league and you get 7 points for passing touchdown:

Trade 1, drew brees for Murray and Stafford
Trade 2, jay cutler for lavion bell and plamer
Trade 3, Matt Ryan for Matt forte.

I'm thinking about trading forte for Ryan. I just wwish we had a flex and I would be set

1. Terrible trade. Murray is the best back in fantasy right now. I wouldn't trade him for a single QB.

2. Also a terrible trade. Cutler is arguably not even a QB1 in a league like yours with such a low number of teams. Bell is a workhorse back who is easily a RB1 right now.

3. Is Ryan really that much better than Palmer? I'd argue Ryan has more potential to have ridiculous games like the one against Tampa, but their average performance is probably about the same.

Honestly, I'd just start Palmer if those are the three offers on the table. They're all pretty terrible. If you're giving up Murray, Forte, or Bell, you better be getting back Manning, Rodgers, or Luck. Even then, consistent RBs like those guys are insanely valuable. Really, you should get back a QB1 and another asset.

Yeah I dunno. I was considering starting palmer. Its a 10 team leauge but some guys don't know what they're doing. It just sucks there is no flex or I would be fine. Maybe I'm just over thinking everything

Your team is so stacked just ride it out with Stafford until he gets a full force again. Bush will be coming back this week and Johnson will be back within 3. You will be ready for the playoffs.

Thanks. I might just wait until someone gets desperate for a qb. In this NFL.com league, qbs dominate. You get 1 point for 20 yards passing, 7 points for touchdowns. Rushing is 1 point for every 10 7 points for score. Receiving is a 1 point for every 20 yards receiving and 7 points for receiving score. So like laart week flacco had 5 scores and he almost had 50 points. You get the most points from backs and qbs. That's why I'm considering trading a top back based on the scoring system

You should just join a league with rules that make sense. Would make your life easier.
