Annual RCF Rate My Team/Who to Play Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still in that survivor pool I asked about before. It's gone from 60 people and is now at the final 5. I've already used Philly, New England, Atlanta, San Diego, Green Bay, Denver, Dallas, Cleveland, Seattle, and Arizona. Thoughts on who to go with this week?

I'm leaning towards New Orleans at home against the Bengals, but Cincy could be fired up after getting embarassed. At the same time, it's the Saints at home. Also thinking Washington at home against Tampa, but that's a crap shoot too. I really don't have many good options this week. Thoughts? Other suggestions?

I'd offer advice but I almost killed you last time so I will stay away. It looks like you're going to have a make a balls of steel pick. Good news is you have a 50/50 shot.

Kind of what he is saying. I kind of don't even want to give you an answer b/c if you happen to pick it, I would feel like shit.

Looks like you are doing quite well guessing yourself @Shakalu M.D. , just go with your gut.

I did think about Pitt but they just scare me. They're probably the safest bet. I don't see them having another turnover fest like last week. My next week's pick is a no brainer, just have to make it through the tough match ups this week.

So in my PPR league (where I have Nelson, Julio, and Megatron in right now as my WRs and flex), am I crazy for starting Mark Ingram over Jamaal Charles? Ingram has a favorable match-up (Cincy) that just got destroyed by our weakened (at least in recent weeks) running game. Charles has one of the toughest match-ups in the league for backs (Seattle).

Alternatively, I could bench Julio and roll with three RBs (Charles, LeVeon Bell, and Ingram), but I really don't want to bench Jones against Carolina, who have been an absolute shitshow on defense.

I also put in a waiver request for Jordan Cameron (who was dropped last week), but am going to stick with Rivera for now since he's been tearing it up the past few weeks. I would have picked up Cameron Thursday's game, but various bye weeks and suspended players (Gordon, Peterson) on my bench meant doing so would mean I wouldn't have played a kicker. Not that it ended up mattering since I won by 107 points, but obviously I didn't know I was going to go all legitimate rape on my opponent ahead of time.

As it stands, my team is pretty goddamn stacked at this point:
QB Tom Brady
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Le'Veon Bell
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Jordy Nelson
TE Mychal Rivera
FLEX Julio Jones
K Stephen Gostkowski
D/ST Cardinals

BN Mark Ingram
BN DeAndre Hopkins
BN Brandon Lafell
BN Adrian Peterson
BN Josh Gordon
BN Tony Romo
BN Shayne Graham (waiver pending for Cameron)

I normally don't carry two kickers, but someone dropped Gostkowski last week and I felt it was worth dropping a guy I'd never even play (barring multiple people getting hurt) for the best kicker in the league right before the playoff stretch run.

I'd love to upgrade my TE position with someone more consistent/reliable, but I just don't really see a lot of options on the table. My secret hope is that Peterson gets his exemption status overturned this week and I can flip him for Gronk or Thomas. I don't need Peterson, and really just picked him up so someone else wouldn't. I'm stacked at WR, but most teams don't need them and TEs are rare enough that it's a tough sell.

Rivera or Bennett this week?

They both see a good amount of targets. With Bennett you have DEF looking out for Alshon, Marshal and Forte. With Rivera, he has been getting a shit ton of looks and has had 3 great weeks for a TE but plays @SD who gives up the least amount of points to a TE.

I am thinking Bennett. Thoughts?

EDIT: To go along with this, I also have Forte. So I pretty much have a 50% chance one of my guys scores if they get a TD.

Jack that team is stacked. You got a real nice roster. Jones and ingrim both have nice matchups. You can't go wrong either way. I tried to trade for ingrim in my league but my buddy wanted gronk and i said no way. I would lean towards ingrim just because hell get the work load in new Orleans

I like my roster as well. Im a top 5 qb away from being dominant. I am 8-2 and play the guu tied in 1st twice before the playoffs here's how my roster is looking.

Qb - Stafford
Rb - Murray
Rb - McCoy
Wr- ty Hilton
We - mike Evans
Te - gronk
Def - Cleveland
Kick - gostowski

Bench Ryan
Bench west
Bench Gore
Bench Steve Smith
Bench Gordon

Thinking about picking up Monte ball since he should be healthy for the playoffs who should I drop for ball? Also should I put a claim in for ap? I don't think I need him especially since my league has no flex. Lastly should I drop the browns defense this week which goes against a rookie qb or pick up the Vikings against the crappy beara

I would go with Bennet has a better matchup and I like cutler a little better than Carr but not by much. Bennet seems to be getting the rest zoine targets too.

It's a bit early to start drinking, jon.

I'd say that, if you want to pick up Ball, the obvious drop choice is Gore. Gore has been entirely too inconsistent to be a reliable option this season.

My roster is stacked mostly because of getting lucky with waivers and people dropping guys when they were either under-performing or not healthy. That's how I got both Brady and Ingram (technically I drafted Ingram, dropped him, then picked him up again later after someone else dropped him, but whatever). Peterson too, I guess, since he was dropped a few weeks into his suspension which, at the time, seemed season-ending.

By the way, I do still remember thinking what a steal Cordarrelle Patterson would be on my various draft days this year. What a wasted pick that was. Fuck Mike Zimmer.

I think it's more so that Cordarrelle is actually garbage and doesn't know how to play WR. Doesn't help that he's got a rookie QB. Jennings has been very averagely consistent for them. I also took Cordickell in the 5th round in 2 leagues. What a terrible pick lol

Well, I mean, he was absolutely beasting at the end of last year. I've heard he's had issues learning the playbook, but you'd think that a good coach could find ways to use a guy as fast as Patterson regardless. When you've got a skill guy like that, you need to figure out ways to take advantage of him.

PPR league, got offered AJ Green and Reggie Wayne for Shady McCoy. I have Jamaal Charles and Rashad Jennings along with Julio and Doug Baldwin because of Percy Harvin bye week. I have Josh Gordon coming back next week and I am at a must win week in my league to make the playoffs. Thoughts?

I got offered Jimmy Graham for Le'Veon Bell. My other backs are Forte and Ingram and CJ Anderson. TE is Ertz, I've been bad at TE all year. So basically I would be replacing Ertz with Graham and Bell with Ingram. What do you guys think?

I have McCoy also and have been looking to ship him out all year to no avail. I like green a lot but do you trust Dalton getting him the ball on a weekly basis? Plus he was just coming off injury as well. However he would definitely help out your receivers and you'd be stacked when Gordon comes back. Who else do you have at running back? Depending on who else you have I might take the trade

I think its a good trade. I do like bell and he is a top 5 back however you're set with forte and ingrim especially since ingrim is getting the most carries in new Orleans. While bell has almost 800 yards rushing he only has 1 rushing td and that was way back in week one. I like the deal. Jimmy has been having a good year. Id try to maybe picxk up Monte ball too since he is coming back for the stretch run
