So in my PPR league (where I have Nelson, Julio, and Megatron in right now as my WRs and flex), am I crazy for starting Mark Ingram over Jamaal Charles? Ingram has a favorable match-up (Cincy) that just got destroyed by our weakened (at least in recent weeks) running game. Charles has one of the toughest match-ups in the league for backs (Seattle).
Alternatively, I could bench Julio and roll with three RBs (Charles, LeVeon Bell, and Ingram), but I really don't want to bench Jones against Carolina, who have been an absolute shitshow on defense.
I also put in a waiver request for Jordan Cameron (who was dropped last week), but am going to stick with Rivera for now since he's been tearing it up the past few weeks. I would have picked up Cameron Thursday's game, but various bye weeks and suspended players (Gordon, Peterson) on my bench meant doing so would mean I wouldn't have played a kicker. Not that it ended up mattering since I won by 107 points, but obviously I didn't know I was going to go all legitimate rape on my opponent ahead of time.
As it stands, my team is pretty goddamn stacked at this point:
QB Tom Brady
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Le'Veon Bell
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Jordy Nelson
TE Mychal Rivera
FLEX Julio Jones
K Stephen Gostkowski
D/ST Cardinals
BN Mark Ingram
BN DeAndre Hopkins
BN Brandon Lafell
BN Adrian Peterson
BN Josh Gordon
BN Tony Romo
BN Shayne Graham (waiver pending for Cameron)
I normally don't carry two kickers, but someone dropped Gostkowski last week and I felt it was worth dropping a guy I'd never even play (barring multiple people getting hurt) for the best kicker in the league right before the playoff stretch run.
I'd love to upgrade my TE position with someone more consistent/reliable, but I just don't really see a lot of options on the table. My secret hope is that Peterson gets his exemption status overturned this week and I can flip him for Gronk or Thomas. I don't need Peterson, and really just picked him up so someone else wouldn't. I'm stacked at WR, but most teams don't need them and TEs are rare enough that it's a tough sell.
