Antawn Wants and Expects to Remain with Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Yet another sorry performance by "one of the worst players in the league" scoring 33 points and singlehandedly keeping his team in the game for three quarters. Interesting that until this post there is no mention of this performance from any of those who are quick to quick to post critically any time he even makes a bad play.

Cool maybe Denver likes what they saw and will make us a sweet offer for him?

It's amazing Jamison was on his way to a 52pt game at the half, but yet was just +8 +/-. His 3 for 7 shooting in the 2nd half earned him a -2.

In the meantime Gee finishes +20, and Irving +15. Which is pretty amazing considering, they're all starting together.

I don't like the Wizards comparison because it's apples and oranges. No, apples and bananas. Our management has shown that they are interested in high-character guys from the get-go, and we have Byron Scott as a coach who is a much better manager of a rebuilding, young team than Flip Saunders is.

Which is why our management and Scott are going to make sure we have some vets on the team who can lead by example until our young players are ready to do so. It's all part & parcel of the same thing - being functional rather than dysfunctional. Fact is Scott wants to spend his spare time out golfing, not baby sitting his players.

If you had a responsible 8yr old, would you leave them home by themselves for hours? Not if you were a responsible parent, who can afford/arrange to do otherwise.

It all goes hand in hand.

This team is gonna be unbelievably bad without Jamison. I know he's not in the plans for the future but I refuse to watch the Cavs get blown out by 20 every game

Yes, and watching a guy like Beal or Barnes slip through our hands a few picks above is not painful at all. Those wins that keep us in the 10th position are so great! You people make me laugh! You would sacrifice a future all star in the next 10 seasons so we only lose a game by 8 points instead of 20 in a short season where the team has no chance of a playoff berth? Not to the mention the player wont be here next year? Brilliant! Every time we win a game crazies like you come out!

I agree, it would be impossible to draft a talented player with the 10th pick. I mean, just ask Paul George, Brandon Jennings, Brook Lopez, Andrew Bynum, or Caron Butler.

You have a better chance of getting better talent at the 6th than at the 10th. Not to be a prick, but, end of discussion.

Write some letters to the teams with worse records than us and encourage them to suck less... Perhaps it will help?

Really not understanding the point of your post.

Because it's about the most we (as fans) can do about the Cavaliers lottery position unless you care to start booing our own players every time they do something good?

I understand that point well enough, but it has zero relevance as a response to my post.

mcfly: "some good players have been taken at the tenth pick in the draft

me: "you have a better chance of picking a good player at the sixth pick"

you: "what are we as fans supposed to do to change our draft position? we can't do anything."

so yeah i'm not really seeing any sort of connection, at all, between your post and mine. are you typing just to see yourself type?

If everyone cared about the fact that we are completely helpless as fans then RCF wouldn't exist. Do I really need to explain to you the value of a pointless argument?

Don't look at the score, just watch Kyrie and Alonzo. That may be the only way it's bearable.

lmao Sam The Bullshit Whisperer might be the biggest hack in the world. You'd think we're fighting for the 1 seed. "This year's team NEEDS his scoring!!!"

I do take some comfort in the fact that it is The Bullshit Whisperer making those Jamison comments. He hasn't proven himself to be a particularly great source or frankly very knowledgeable about basketball at all (unless he intentionally spews a bunch of totally false bullshit), so I'd rather have him say those things than someone more credible.

Except Jennings and Butler both suck and the Cavs need more than a "talented player" if they ever want to win a title.

people have a tendency to overreact. we wont end up with the tenth pick. i concluded earlier that we will end up with the eight, i think now its likely to have the six or below. jamison will remain on the cavs for the rest of the season, unless hes traded (which i hope happens, but who would trade for jamison?).
