Anthony Bennett

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

Bennett Stats - Last 10 games of 10+ minutes or more:

18.5 MPG, 34/65 FG (52.3%), 6/17 3 PT (35.3%), 9.1 PPG, 5.6 REB

AB has has a really nice stretch of games here, when he has actually got in the game.

As the playoffs slip away a bit, there's not reason to be logging other guys minutes at this point.

Bennett needs consistent run to hopefully springboard himself in to the off-season.

Brown just needs to freakin play him consistently.

Not only consistently, but also play through Bennett as he has played his entire career. Try to get him in spots to attack the defense from the triple- threat or moving towards the basket for explosive finishing, but for goodness sake use him.

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

The first score is a money move, very rare to see a PF move so fluidly/gracefully off the dribble. He remains the best hybrid of athleticism/physical tools, skill and feel in the draft. Oladipo is more explosive but lacks as much skill for his position, albeit the combination may still end up better. Overall I think the Cavs took a top 3 talent in 2013 draft

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

Agree with the post above. for someone his size, he can really move very well and has the strength to really go directly in the rim.

PS: i read somewhere that he is one of the most overpaid players in the league. Lol.

Absolutely agree with Shacks post, top 3 talent of the draft easily. Shows flashes. how strong was this draft?

Kris032 for someone his size? every SF in the league moves as well or better and he has the size of a SF. He is absolutely this year one of the most over paid players at ~5.5 mill but perhaps that is the price you pay to develop. Year 4 he will be at 7.5ish due to being #1. Decisions are going to have to be made. We can't keep bennett and TT

There's absolutely no doubt. Never mind what you think he will become. His salary compared to his production this year is waaaaay too high.

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

Well it doesn't help either that the franchise last two #1 pick has perform very well in their earlier years (well it was pointed out in the article). Well anyway, i just hope that in the succeeding years he perform worthy of being the #1 pick. If any one want to read it, here's the link http://wallstcheatsheet.com/sports/nba/the-nbas-6-most-overpaid-players.html/?a=viewall

back at AB, SF? i thought he is more suited at PF. When the team drafted him, i thought we can use him at SF but so far it's doesnt really suit him. What's his playing weight this days?

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

When I see Bennett hitting those threes with ease.... all I can say is "WOO!!!" he needs to be played more at PF.

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

Delly was getting him most of those looks on offense. Bennets key to playing time is to get better on defense. In that area he is doing well one on one, but like Tyler and Dion and to a lesser extent the rest of the team, he gets lost in the rotations.

When the spurs made thier last big run with the starters in, the match ups they got after switches were just unbelievable. There was one set that left Jack trying to guard Duncan. SA has a steady veteran oriented team with a sophisticated offense and solid D. Our young guys just arent there yet...

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

I dont think a single of his makes last night touched rim/backboard, hopefully he continues this trend going forth because this is the AB Grant drafted.

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

To bad the spurs played zero D when he was in. Oh well take what they give you. Nice to see him hit those open shots. I want to see him and hawes play together. The spacing would be amazing for kyrie and waiters

Re: Anthony Bennett: Actually Playin' Well

I'm not surprised he started hitting shots in garbage time when he knew he would stay on the floor. Hopefully Brown doesn't ruin him before we can get someone else in here next year.
