Anthony Bennett

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bennett was drafted for Development. he wasnt expected to impact the team and they certainly werent relying on him to win.

He seemed slow because he was slow. even after his weght loss during the season he was still overweight.

what I was impressed by was his focus on defense. He never really had been expected defense before and not only did he seem ninto it when fatigue hadnt set in. he seemed to enjoy it.

fatigued legs and winded players are typically horrible shots. Bennett played the entire season that way.

lets see what he shows after an offseason of not being incpacitated for two months and a chance to play in summer league. to prep for training camp

I also tend to agree with Frank's terrific take that Bennett needs to work on his game from the inside out. Start in the post and grow there then move on to learning how to stretch the 4.

An in shape Bennett could still be a good or even great player. They also need to keep him at PF. I think he will work well there in a running system as long as he remains in shape.

doesnt matter what position he plays. its inconsequential. Either position he will be the one that ends up guarding Carmelo, James, etc.

it cracked me up in the miami game people complaing about Bennett playing the three and having lebron on him.. when lebron and Bennett were playing the 4.

It would be huge if Bennett stepped up and beat out TT for the starting spot, especially if we draft Embiid.

I really don't think Tristan will be on the roster. I think Grant was the only guy who really liked Tristan and now that he is gone, I can't see Griffin keeping a guy that doesn't really fit what he wants to build.

bennett looks thin, felix is shredded ...looks like theyre staying fit this off season

Bennett looks way skinny...almost didn't recognize him. What happened to those bowling ball arms/shoulders?

Looks like the Front office hit a home run with their diabolical plan to remove ABs tonsils. No solid food for 3 weeks does a body good.

Just food for thought Carrick Felix is 6'4.75 without shoes 6'6 with. :hide: PF of the future.

If you look closely, it looks like Bennett has some mutton chops going on. :chuckles:

What's your point? We already knew that Bennett was 6'7" or 6'8". It doesn't matter if he's an inch or two shorter because he still takes up the same amount of space as the average PF.

And AB looks a little taller than Felix in that picture which would make him about 6'7" or 6'8"...

Something we already knew

That's my pool lol! It's the Independence Community Center indoor pool, not too far away from the practice facility. Going to have to go for a swim tomorrow.

Captain Obvious here, how hard these young guys work over the summer has a lot to do with how the Cavs do this year.

I Love that some people still throw that "or 6'8" around still.

I wasn't talking about AB i was just talking about Felix I swear :chuckles:

Still, it truly amuses me how people will go to any length to convince themselves that a barely 6'7 starting pf is going to work out for us. I guess someone has to pioneer.

I'm so glad that we lucked our way into this pick so that I don't have to rest my hopes on a Chuck Hayes that can jump higher and allegedly (though not confirmed by results) shoot better. :runs: It isn't like you can score or defend when you are worried about the powerade bottle sneaking up on you anyway, so it is all inconsequential at this point
