Did you watch the video? He couldn't have been talking about this one, his foot doesn't slide out. His plant foot is solid. His lead foot, he just never steps into the throw. He leaves it off to the left. He's just off balance from the moment where he cocks, all the way through the follow through. I could maybe buy his front foot getting caught in the grass or something, not allowing him to step into the throw properly. It makes me was to go back and look at the rest of his throws to see the differences between the accurate throws and the worm burners.

He cocks, his foot slides out from under him toward the left side of his body, he overcompensates by swinging it back around his body in an effort to keep himself upright, and that shitty rep is what you get. On the live game, they showed an angle from the side that made it very clear.

He missed a ton of wide open guys all game. I don’t pretend to know quarterback-specific mechanics. I just know that this one rep was a weather-related outlier because you could see it as he wound up to throw.

I watched the YouTube thing for extensive accountability, and this dude has good analysis. He doesn’t win any awards for charisma or production, but he has tape and he does bring up good points beyond “coverage good, line nasty.”

Coach Vass is incredible. Definitely one of the OGs in the "hey, maybe there's room for people to actually talk about the intelligent, nitty-gritty aspects of football" space.
