Around the NFL 2011-2012

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think Chris Rainey will start for the Steelers, DeCastro will dominate and Adams will struggle. Ben throws for 27-30 TDS (basically cuz he has to) and they go 11-5 (tied with Ravens for division lead) with losses to Baltimore once, Cincy once, the Giants, Chargers, and Redskins (they drop one like this annually).

Luck is going to look good against everyone's D. I would have traded our whole roster for that guy.

Locker and Tannehill named starters today.

Not sure if Locker has looked better than Hasselbeck, but Tannehill has definitely looked better than Moore.

Down goes Vick.

Didn't know where to put this, but kinda funny.

Lost (but not lost deep enough) in the oft-contentious Warren Sapp book tour is a story from Sapp about an interaction he had with then-Browns coach Bill Belichick in 1995, as Sapp was preparing to enter the draft.

“He said ‘I wanna draft you so bad that I have an erection right now,’” Sapp said of Belichick, during a Tuesday interview with The Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN Radio.

But, according to Sapp, Belichick told Sapp that former Browns personnel executive Mike Lombardi wouldn’t let Belichick draft him, due to the information obtained by the team’s security department about Sapp. (That elaboration was provided in Sapp’s interview with Howard Stern, summarized by JoeBucsFan.com.)

“We would have never left Cleveland,” Sapp said of what would have transpired if he had been a Brown. “Trust me, the Mistake by the Lake would have been righteous.”

The Browns actually had been in position to take Sapp as of late March that year, trading from No. 26 up to No. 10, with the Falcons. But the Browns eventually traded back down to No. 30 via a deal that allowed the 49ers to take receiver J.J. Stokes.

The Browns acquired, among other things, the 49ers’ first-round pick in 1996. With which they drafted Ray Lewis. Who has been getting Ravens fans aroused for 16 years and counting.

Reason #869253764823 why Michael Lombardi can go suck a dick. This guy can't figure out why nobody will hire him?

Speaking of Sapp, did anyone else hear him on Rover this morning talking about his new book? Guy kind of seemed like an ass. Almost looking for confrontation during the interview. Everything Rover said he seemed to nit pick and twist as if he thought Rover was trying to paint him in a negative light. It was very strange.

Pryor had a good showing tonight, 3-5 137 yds 2 TDs. 4 carries for 81 yds and a TD
