Avengers: Endgame Spoilers Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh yeah, got it. So Loki is still out there with the Tesseract in a different timeline?
Maybe?

I've heard that by returning the stones to their places in time that the timelines may have merged.

That would explain why old man Cap was present in the current reality.

Time travel is always a tricky plot device though. There will always be holes. Regardless, I think it was handled well. Any lingering questions I have certainly didn't detract from my experience.

Minor question that is probably most relevant to Spider Man since he is a kid. He was snapped away in Infinity War, but assuming even distribution half of his classmates survived and then aged five years. So now that he’s been snapped back - he will be in a class that is half snap victims (i.e., people frozen in time, not aged) and half snap survivors that have aged five years into his grade? Or is Spider Man five years older now too?

All I know for sure is that Spider-Man is not 5 years older. He is still a HS student.

He is still a HS student. When he resumes normal life, he will likely be slotted in a grade with other snap victims. Anyone who was not snapped has since graduated high school. I saw a few complaints on this actually. Given that Clint's whole family was taken away & the snap was random; it is possible for all of the core actors & actresses in the Spiderman universe to have all been snapped. Nothing out of the realm of possibility.

In that case...

Interesting dynamic now of survivors who experienced five years of emotional hardship and those who lost five years but basically just woke up like nothing even happened. I’m interested in how that would impact a society - not a complaint by me at all. Kind of a heavy topic for MCU to really explore though.

So did the stealing of the stones undo the snap from happening at all in the first place? If so, then nothing in Infinity War ever happened and the snap didn't kill anyone.

Pretty great movie. I guess if I had to criticize something- I thought they acquired all the stones relatively easily? I guess that was necessary for time constraints and they did know the best time to grab them, but nonetheless.

I would rank Infinity War higher on my Marvel Movie ratings, but this would probably be #2

What was even easier was Tony Stark figuring out how time travel worked.

No, it still happened because they had to take the stones back in the end

But then Thanos jumped into the future when he figured out the plot and leaped over the date of the snap. Did he still do the snap in real time 5 years ago and the snap by the Hulk brought all the disintegrated people back in the present day?

The way Peter Parker made it sound is that they returned in almost real time like it never happened, except Stark wasn't there anymore.

Yes, I believe Parker even said it was 5 years later when he came to alongside Strange. Plus, Cassie (Scott's daughter) was still aged 5 years.

I interpreted it as people didnt raealize how long they were gone.
