Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So what you said is true, but to be fair, all 4 of those teams have dreadful offensive talent. It is kind of apples to apples

I don't think I agree about Rosen. Larry Fitzgerald is still a tall and talented receiver. They just used a 2nd rounder on Christian Kirk. Seals-Jones is a legit red-zone threat. David Johnson was the bee's knees before his injury and is getting the carries this season. JJ Nelson has the ability to take the top off of a defense..

I know full well the severity of the statement I’m about to make so please know that I mean it

I would rather have 5 Oniel Cousins blocking for me than that current Arizona line

Funny, but not true. The AZ line is awful, but 5 Oniel Cousins? That's crazy talk.

But how would we name them to keep them apart? Oneiel Cousins? Twoniel Cousins? Threeniel Cousins, etc....

Nelson should be ahead of everyone.

That dude was as advertised.

Would be sweet to get that entire Manning analysis from Detail. Liked the tease on ESPN.

He had a rough start to the season but has been crushing it as of late. A great pick that has a direct correlation with the Andrew Luck resurgence.

Now if only we can get Baker some protection before he breaks..

I watched it last night. It seemed to me like a more serious version of the Gruden QB camp. He shows maybe a dozen or so plays and makes observations, good and bad. A summary on what Peyton had to say about Baker:

- He is competitor and will go far. Compared him to Brett Favre a lot.
- He does a lot of little things right to help keep the defense on their toes during a run/draw play.
- His footwork is impressive for a rookie, has quick feet.
- He needs to work on hand signals/stance when at the line. Sometimes gives defenders an edge if they know when he will snap the ball based on his hands/stance.
- He did a good job on some plays of calling an audible or changing the blocking if he recognized a blitz.
- He missed on a few throws that could have moved the sticks by going for a homerun instead of going for the short gain.

There were a few other things, but that is about it. Generally said he made some rookie mistakes but also showed why he was a top prospect.

So it’s like Gruden camp, but for rookies who are already playing in the league?

Not sure who wants Baker to be a franchise QB more. ESPN or Cleveland. He has played decent but I wouldn't put him at #3.

When has ESPN ever wanted Cleveland to do well?

We are looked so down by them. We've not been on Monday Night football for over 5 years. Despite a lot of other dog shit franchises that continue to get a spot on their shitty program.

This team is terrible. You couldn't put a rookie QB in a worse situation than here, and the fact he's resembled something shows how good he is.
