Battle for the AL Central Pt. II -|- Indians vs. Tigers -|- Sept. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tomlin in a big time jam here... bases loaded one out.

Who did we have left in the pen? Josh Tomlin just is not a reliable late game option.

don't understand the move to Tomlin...we just blew 2 games that were 10000x more crucial than a normal game.

Tomlin should be a last resort. This guy has nothing. If he's the last guy left in the pen, fine, but it's September. Literally, I would have used every option except for him. I really don't understand Francona sometimes.

Any update from twitter telling us the good news of Tomlin being DFA'd...or is that asking to much.

Tomlin would've been out of the inning. That's a play Kipnis should've made.... Again.

Not really sure I get the trolling here.

Are we counting a full sprint over the shoulder catch as easily made now?

It would have been a great play that may have gotten them out of the inning, but I'm not going to say anyone SHOULD have made that play. Very high degree of difficulty there.

What a shit sandwich of a series. Blew two fucking games that they should have won. Just awful. Allowing seven runs in one inning, let alone an extra inning, is unacceptable.

There's still a little bit of hope, but it's fading fast.

Boobie, you think Ramirez will still be around as a utility guy? If Lindor proves to be all that, and we have Chisenhall or Urshela at third and Kipnis at second for the foreseeable future, shouldn't we maybe explore trading J-Ram?

I'm trading Urshela if I can, I don't think he projects everyday at 3B.

I'd rather keep Ramirez, but yes I can absolutely see Ramirez sticking around as a utility guy.

Not trolling-- I think he should've made the catch. (I really don't hate Kipnis, I just think we can find another defensive spot for him after watching this whole infield debacle this year-- not just Kipnis).

I never said it was an easy play, but that's a play you'd like for your 2B to make. It seems like winning teams end up making that play and double up Davis and out of the inning..... I think Kipnis makes that play last year, FWIW.
