Beer snob thread!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guess not. :(

When it comes to Victory, I'm a Storm King man. Of course, the darker and thicker the beer...

If I have to chew my booze, then I'm satisfied.

Yeah, I've only had one beer from Victory, and that's obviously Golden Monkey. I'm going to have to try some of their other beers.

It always gets weird when people post their pics... I feel like they're a complete and total stranger....

Also you're flicking us all off in the first picture. Nice.

BTW I like your hardwood flooring.

Check the second picture, I'm flicking off (Backstage) in that as well. It's pretty hard to take a pic while holding a beer and sticking out your middle finger so it didn't come through as well as I'd hoped.

Also I will tell the hote I'm staying at that their hardwood floors are nice.

I like my hard ciders. Angry Orchard has been my favorite since May. I recommend trying the Crisp Apple.

I've been wanting to try this, but I'm a little hesitant. The only cider I tried was Woodchuck and I wasn't impressed. Do you think I'd feel the same way about this or is there something more to it?

I forgot this thread existed!

Just had myself a Founder's Breakfast Stout. Fucking incredible. Also, VERY long-shot of anyone trying it, but there's a semi-local (from S.C.) beer called Skull Coast Gallows Porter that I just discovered... it is orgasmic!

For all the "hop heads" out there: There are a few IPAs/DIPAs I'd love to try but never have been able to... has anyone ever had "Pliny the Elder" by Russian River Brewing or "Hopslam" by Bells? They are 2 of the highest rated beers on Beeradvocate.com, but I can never seem to catch them in one of our local craft brew stores... Can anyone vouch for their high ratings?

I'm on Untappd... But I definitely fancy myself as a beer drinker.

I've had some really great beers and my favorite to date is Stone Smoked Porter. Pretty mainstream, but I've drunk a lot of beers and it is safe for me to say I like that most. I also LOVE scotch ale.

I'll be at Lizardville in Bedford tomorrow night trying out the new handles.

Also, don't hate on Natty. I'll drink it any day still.

I prefer Angry Orchard because it is sweeter. Woodchuck is a bit too sour for my taste.

I've had some Pliny. Really, really good, but it didn't totally blow me away like I expected. Maybe my expectations were too high. I really like Three Floyd's Zombie Dust, not sure you can get that in the Cleveland area.

BTW, agree on Founder's Breakfast Stout ... great stuff!

New Holland Dragon's Milk is always great on a cold day.
Love it. Especially on tap.

Deezy where is a good place in Raleigh to find craft beers, I live off of glenwood.

No shit! I live right off of Oberlin Road near Cameron Village. We're less than 5 minutes from each other. If I knew where you lived, I'd come and write disparaging comments about Danny Amendola on your car at night. :chuckles: Its too bad I've got the little one at home now, or I'd have to meet you out for a beer once the Cavs season starts...

Try these:
- Peace Street Market (a "hole in the wall" type place with great selection and decent prices): http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/7307
- Tasty Beverage Company (high-end, newer place that does weekly tastings of rare stuff on the weekends): http://tastybeverageco.com/
- Total Wine (Chain that has decent/good selection and VERY good prices! Worth the longer drive if you have the time!): http://www.totalwine.com/eng/storeL...r/storeDetails.cfm&storeid=1&locationId=17759

The second place listed (Tasty Bev Co) had a cask tasting of this stuff by Avery Brewing Co. called "Maharaja" that was absolutely orgasmic the last time I was there. Highly recommended!

EDIT: Fuuuuuck! They just had a Great Lakes tasting yesterday and I missed it! http://tastybeverageco.com/events/#2038

I haven't had a Natty in forever. I've switched from that being my cheap beer of choice to High Life.

I might have to go get a 12 and not drink it since I don't really drink at home anymore.

I'm a weird beer drinker. I will switch between shit beer and good beer pretty regularly. I like both.
