Best way to watch the Cavs this season?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've been unfortunately waiting for a ballstreams invite for over a year now.

Did you use a referral code when you registered? You should have definitely got one by now

Ballstreams. All damn day. One of my favorite things is missing a friday/saturday game to go party, and watching it the next morning commercial free while i nurse my hangover. sooo worth $90

Thanks for the reminder to re-up Ballstreams. Early bird $89 only good through 9/25. I think it jumps to $100 after that.

Referral codes don't mean anything now, but I'm sure I did.

I'll just do without basketball.

I'm thinking about canceling my cable subscription and looking into NBA league pass to watch Cavs games. I live locally, however. Will I be able to watch the Cavs games, or will they be blacked out for me since I'm local? Thanks!

they will all be blacked out. You can't do it that way.

I couldn't ever watch games in HD, live or replay, with ballstreams last year. I always had to go to the slow setting. I get around 5-6 mbps with speedtest. Anyone at that download speed having luck with ballstreams?

I'm trying to decide what part of the equation needs to change to get a smooth HD feed on ballstreams: finding faster internet service, buying a Roku, etc.

Thank you! That sucks, but I appreciate the answer. Would I be able to watch the games on replay, or still blacked out? What about ballstreams?

Ballstreams doesn't have Blackout, but I have never used it. I believe you can watch replays of blacked out games, which you couldn't before on league pass. Anyone know about this? I was surprised this past year because the national blacked out games were unblocked after a certain time last year.

Also, remember that you're not paying $100 for a year-long subscription (e.g. 9/4/2015 through 9/4/2016), you're paying for a year's worth of credits. This is a very important distinction, because Ballstreams allow you to freeze your account (which prevents credits from accruing).

That means you can do something like this:
October 2015: buy a year's worth of credits for $100. Use 9 months worth of credits watching the 2015 season (October '15 through June '15). At this point, you have 3 months of credits remaining. Freeze your account for 3 months. (I don't know about you guys, but I haven't touched my account since the playoffs ended.)

October 2016: at this point, you have 3 months of credits left over from last season. Now, instead of buying 12 months of credits for $100, you can instead buy 6 months of credits for $60. You now essentially get the 2016 season for $60.

Most people will never freeze their account. They would pay ~$200 for the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons. With freezing, you could get the 15/16 and 16/17 seasons for $160 total.

Of course, this is sort of a long-term view on Ballstreams. Personally, I think the site will be shut down sooner rather than later. Ballstreams is based out of the Netherlands, which has for a long time been a haven for piracy/etc. They've modernized a lot of their laws in the last couple of years. I'll ride this gravy train while it lasts, but I doubt it's still around, say, 5 years from now.

hey guys I use kodi (xbmc) with sportsdevil to watch all sports and I had great success with the cavs games last year. I always found a good stream. only downside is i can't hook up my laptop to my tv but other than that it works great. only downside is that for some games you can only find the other teams telecast which kinda sucks.

that is real slow internet. my parents get ~3.5mbps and i can barely watch youtube on it, let alone 720p60fps ball streams

Oh well, live and learn. Not going to lose sleep over losing a couple months at that price point though.

are there any "legal" (non ballstreams) ways to watch the cavs if i am in the local broadcast area?

the only reason i have cable is for cavs games, browns games, and getting hammered and passing out while watching diners drive ins and dives. i can live without diners drive ins and dives.
