Bills Updates: Pick Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The draft is a crapshoot, the more shots you have at talent the better the shot at landing talented people. It's the Green Bay, New England and Philly way.

Nonsense, they should just trade up for the best playmaker.

A story of warning. As much as I want Mike Pettine to be the guy today and forever, it takes more than 9 games to settle in. It's even tougher to keep that buy-in over a long period of time. I'm hoping like hell this isn't 2007..

We very well could be a fluke but this does feel better than 2007. That year our defense was atrocious and really didn't have much talent on it at all and we had receivers put up huge outlier years (Winslow and Edwards) that they never came close to again. This just feels more legit, the defense is very talented and it had a slow start but has been ramping up. There doesn't appear to be any fluky play on the offense, honestly, I think the scheming is a huge success and the offensive line has been great (more so before mack went down). Receivers have been makeshift as fuck.

^ @Chris I'm right there with you. This does feel different and the common theme of the Browns' futility is now gone (Lerner). I'm not saying 99-12 is all his fault, but sometimes the clean slate really can abruptly steer a team/org. in a better direction.

It's refreshing to see the ball spread around, the pass rush be pretty well manned and the offensive line working well in front of a smart QB. I think the real key will be how Pettine gets through to this team after they've lost the "overcomer" reputation.

and we get boned by having the 4th hardest SOS next year. With one of those "If we follow the same schedule as previous years.." schedules, here is what 2015 would look like:

Home
Denver
Oakland
Zona
SF
AFC South same place finisher
AFC North

Away
KC
SD
St Louis
Seattle
AFC East same place finisher
AFC North

So much could change. Payton could win a ring then retire. SF might have a new coach. Arizona might not have Palmer. Who knows what happens with Dalton. It may end up being difficult, or it could be middle of the road.

Remember when the NFC South was supposed to be murder's row this year? Things change.

Denver, Green Bay, New England left on the docket for Buffalo.

Cleveland, NYJ and Oakland are the three big games here. Would love to see the wheels completely fall off for a 5-11 finish.

Buffalo is terrible....Quarterback play is atrocious and they lack playmakers outside of Watkins...Browns offense will have Gordon and most likely Cameron so they should have an explosive awesome

Yeah, that game vs them is big.

With how the schedule sets up, If we can beat them, they could easily lose 5 of 6 and with how the Jets have played, maybe 6 in a row.

Bills are decent but with their schedule, I honestly think a 1-5 / 2-4 finish is likely. It doesn't get any easier.

Best case seems like 7-9 now which with how the AFC is set up, could easily be a top 12ish pick.

Anything above that is a ridiculous return on moving down a few slots.

Tonight is a big swing game for this pick.

Buffalo is currently tied for the #13 slot and has a brutal schedule.

If they lose this game, 7-9 would seem to be their ceiling with 6-10 being likely.

If we could blow them out next week, the wheels could come off and a huge losing streak could lead to 5-11.

If the Jets and Browns take care of business in the next two, this Bills pick could easily jump in to the top 10.

They'll beat the Jets pretty easily tonight. I have a bad feeling about the Browns going into Buffalo with that double whammy game in terms of playoff and draft implications.

Hope I'm wrong. Back to back losses to the Jets and Browns would be enough to kill the energy around that organization and secure us a top 15 pick.

Bills officially eliminated from the playoffs! Yay!

Guarantees the Browns have 2 Top 20 picks.
