Pretty sure those teams that have gotten it "done on the field" have reaped the benefits of doing so. The smaller schools who get to the BCS Games get rewarded with the recognition and respect of having a good season, as well as getting rewarded monetary wise, it also helps academically because more people apply for the school, thus they get a better pool to pick from for students.
Stop crying and get over it.
The only team you can claim that for is Boise State who seem to be consistently in the top rankings. However, until they schedule even harder than they do. They won't make a national championship game.
