Brady & Patriots are cheaters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Its funny how forthcoming and the zeal the patriots are showng after the punishment was handed out.
To me it seems the Patriots were rather dismissive of the investigation process and chose not to take the matter serious.

The patriots wont even admit the balls were deflated at all which is beyond absurd even if Kraft sincerely believed Tom Brady.

Its also funny the patriots are crying foul over the indenpendancy of the follow up investigation while limiting the investigators access to the club and forcing him to rely on what information was provided to the initial NFL investigators.

I understand Brady not wanting to set a precedent in disclosing his electronic communications as a player but thats wasnt the only place the investigator ran into roadblocks.

on a side note. I think Goodell would like nothing better than to uphold the appeal and have the patriots and or brady take them to court as information can be compelled in that arena.

I also think the NFL enjoying having the focus on football matters as opposed to off the field civil matters.

Well... Still trying to keep the Pats fans on his side. Goodell's reputation hasn't even been chipped yet from this, by the way.

Dirty. I'm anxiously awaiting his excuse for this one. Hard for his reputation to not be a little tarnished at least.

Judge nullifies NFL's 4-game suspension of Tom Brady...

I don't care how you spin it, there is no way the footballs are doctored without Brady being aware of it at least. I'm sure he made his preference known without instructing anyone to do anything and magically the balls are the way he likes them which happen to be outside of the NFL specifications.

I think even if this were true, the four-game suspension is a mockery of a punishment for such a minor advantage.

The Pats are very good at being dishonest and sneaky. Kudos to them for finding the technicality. A rule is a rule, so I believe they cheated.

I disagree. You can debate the advantage. Personally, in a cold weather environment I find it a lot easier to throw a ball and catch a ball when they are under inflated. A highly inflated ball and cold weather makes that thing feel like a rock. That impacts your grip and hence your ability to spin the ball. Also catching it would be easier because it wouldn't bounce as much upon impact. I think the advantage is real. Now is it game changing? That's debatable but IMO it certainly makes it easier to execute plays.

Bottom line is, the footballs were under inflated in such a way to side step the rules. The Patriots CLEARLY tried to gain an advantage, that is not debatable. What was debatable was the proof that Brady had knowledge and/or instructed the balls to be doctored. Even though it's hard to imagine he didn't have a role in it, it was hard to prove according to a judge.

It was a nice Dog & Pony show that Goodell pulled to try and prove he didn't have Kraft's hand up his ass, pulling the strings. But ultimately we can rest easy knowing the league is still ran by the Kraft and Rooney families.

I hate Tom Brady, but there was zero evidence against him and Rooney had nothing to do with this decision.

It was a truly independent Judge, one that the league actually sort of picked as they forced it to NY instead of Minny,.

Has anyone quantified the advantage of PEDs?

Either way, imo, the attempted cover up was worse than the crime by a mile.
