Browns 2015 Roster Moves

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This story doesn't fit the narrative that the Browns have no idea what they are doing.

No but drafting Gibson and Manziel in the first year does, drafting a backup in the first this year does, drafting a wr that you end up cutting in the 4th does.

I am one of the guys who tries to stay positive, but there just doesnt ever seem to be direction with this team. We need to get lucky on a qb to turn thing around ind its 23 and counting at this point.

I've been trying to point this out since the day after it happened... Posted it somewhere around here as well. People will believe what they want to believe, we know this. The info about Phil's injury settlement came out within a day or two of his release.

I was quick to ask why he was retained - a 330 pound guy with reoccurring knee problems in one specific knee - at that price tag at the time over the summer. I then kind of had my "told you so" moment, but I don't think anyone on RCF has been pushing the Phil Taylor story since the buyout was announced. If Browns talking heads are still pushing it, there is reason to ask why they didn't see the injury coming and spend more money on a legit receiving option this summer, but the settlement softens the blow.

I thought I mentioned the buyout in this thread, but it was post #645 in the Training Camp thread. That said, it's a good question to ask why they'd commit so early to an injured player. Odd.

because they probably knew they had this option when they called the agent to pick it up.
