Browns Free Agency 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I LOVE the fact that Lanning's twitter picture is him throwing a football.

Honestly, it's good to hear. It's easy to chastise the Browns for being "cheap" because they have a bunch of cap space.. It'd be a bad precedent to set to put the cherry on top for every free agent you sign..
Already a precedent, they have been doing it for years- it's how they get guys to sign with a perennial loser. With Hartline it comes down to convincing him to pass up playing on the best franchise forth last decade. They have to do that with money. The question becomes whether they feel they can fill that same need for less. IF so I'm fine with them moving on.

I know this sounds like a pipe dream because it's Cleveland but if the Browns are serious about winning games next year they can very well trade 2nd/3rd rd pick(s) for Cutler, sign Randall Cobb or Torrey Smith in FA, draft a WR at 12 & 17 and boom you got your selves a 9+ win team next year.

Do we really want Hartline? Is he better than I think he is?

I am not about just winning games next year, I am about winning games in the future, as well. Trading away draft picks for horrible ass Cutler, and drafting 2 WR at 12 & 19 would be bad. We would not be getting any young pieces on D. We would still be giving up 140 rushing yards/gm.

But I really hope that I am just tired and don't realize you are just "trolling" (hate that word) the shit out of us..

Let's get something straight: Jay Cutler fucking blows.

I was going to say, the Browns haven't done well with the future so I wouldn't even care if they blew their load on this coming season.. Then I remembered how bad Jay Cutler is. You can't do free agency acquisitions based off of name recognition.

I give the Cleveland media a lot of shit, but Jeremy Fowler knows what his job is. He's good at it.

No thanks on bringing him back. While he wasn't bad *when he wasn't holding*, he's certainly replaceable for what he could potentially cost.

Also, Trent Cole is coming to Cleveland Sunday. http://www.ohio.com/sports/browns/b...le-scheduled-to-visit-with-cleveland-1.572514

He'd be good in a rotation, but I still prefer Hughes.

Agreed, let Skrine walk if he's commanding too much money. They drafted Gilbert and Desir, and signed K'waun as a UDFA, last year for a reason. Plus there are other (cheaper) FA and draft options. The secondary isn't the problem. The front 7 and offense are. Spend the money there.
