Wonder why Cavs didnt approach Amare?

Yea, I heard this same thing. That's awesome and makes Cuban look great especially when people expected him to flip shit today.

Good from a players relations stand point. If I'm a Dallas fan, I'd be pretty worried about giving someone coming off a ruptured achilles a deal like that.

I wonder what they ultimately decide to do. I think Cuban's throwing it in the dumpster this year to gear up for a major move next off-season. They can bring Matthews back slowly. Dirk can get "injured."

Parsons has a player option next year for $16 mill, which I'm assuming he opts out of, but you never really know. Maybe Dallas would want to move someone like him to ensure they clear the cap room for next off-season?

I doubt he would have been interested in coming here. There would be almost no minutes for him, and I could see a ton of DNP - Coach's Decisions in his future were he on this roster.

He is ring chasing, but I think he still wants to play as well. Miami will have minutes available in the front court and he probably figures they will be competitive in the east.

From the Cavs standpoint we have enough guys with injury issues, bringing in an aging PF with no knees was probably low on the totem poll.

Did he officially go to Miami?

I thought he would have been a perfect vet min big here for depth. Playing 10-12 minutes per game would have been solid, plus he could provide as a replacement for Andy if he were dealt.

Makes you think either A, the Cavs don't plan on moving Andy(despite Windy saying they are shopping him), or B, Amar'e just wants a little more money than what the Cavs can give, and Miami looks like a solid option for him because of Wade/Bosh and that he has a home there.

Seems like he would fit here pretty well, too. Guess he'll just learn the hard way when he gets beat in round 2, or the ECF next year.

Between the buyout period and this summer, the opportunity has definitely been there, so there just must not be a huge mutual interest. Maybe it's the role he wants or minutes concerns? Maybe LeBron doesn't want him? Maybe He and Griff aren't tight, even though they were in PHX at the same time. Could be any number of things, but unless the Cavs have kept everything super under the radar, doesn't seem like they have interest or vice versa.

So I'd imagine they are either comfortable with Love, Moz, TT, Andy, and Xmas(plus the fact the LeBron essentially plays the 4 in small lineups) or they have something else in their back pocket, either a FA or via Haywood

Guess we'll just have to wait and see

Damn, Gerald Green and Amare were the two guys I wanted at vet min to close out this roster....

I know that the 10/11 guys on a roster aren't going to win you a lot of games, but still...
