thoughts on Mike Dunleavy? if we get a backup PG with the Haywood contract he would be one of the players i would target with the Tax MLE. he's basically everything Mike Miller was supposed to be (and he's a much better defender than Miller imo).

Dunleavy would be an interesting fit. I'd be disappointed if he's the best player we bring in via free agency/trading Haywood's contract.

But I'd be good with signing him, and him being our fourth perimeter player behind LB, JR, and Shump.

Best case scenario, we trade Haywood for Splitter and Mills. Then sign Dunleavy to the mini-MLE.

That would solve our depth issues nicely.

I like Dunleavy. Moves well without the ball and has good size. Concerned about him being 34 though, could be out of the nba any moment.

I think you just bring him in, like L-Train said, for depth.

He'd replace Mike Miller. We'd have no interest bringing him to replace Shump or JR, that would be crazy.

If he's the best we can do this off-season though, that would be a big disappointment. But I doubt he will be.

I want Delon Wright so much, life ain't fair.

Also, do you think PAtty Mills is a product of the Spurs offense? is he a good ball handler at all since that is what we need a good pnr PG and I don't think he fits that need.
maybe CoJo is a better option?

He's a good ball handler. He's a playmaker, not just a spot-up shooter.

My stance on Wade remains the same. If he was coming here, he was doing so by taking a huge pay cut. The Cavs weren't gonna trade valuable assets for a 34 year old who gets injured all the time.

And because it's very unlikely he wants to take a huge pay cut to play in Cleveland, it was always a long shot.

We have to find that one good player whos worth more than he'll get playing for Cavs.

Also somebody not 34 or older unless he's/was a star. We don't need old guys breaking down on us and wasting space.

I'm curious to how they use the mini MLE because Haywood should net us a much worthy role player, but the mMLE could also steal us a worthy role player and that's a profit (Mo Williams) which will be 2 key additions. We need depth at PG and SF. A 5th quality big will kill to take that veteran minimum and play for a title, also get some highly anticipated gifts from LeBron.

Rashard Lewis attempting a comeback.

Wouldn't expect anything out of him, but could be the 13th-14th man. Only seeing duty if/When Andy goes down.

He's someone you invite to training camp, at best.

LeBron, Kyrie, Love, Moz, Shump, TT, JR, Andy, Delly, Mike Miller, James Jones, Christmas, Harris.

Thats 13 players and, we need a back-up PG and back-up SF. Don't see any use of Lewis, with James Jones there.

Any possibility that LMA will go to the Raptors and we could get someone from them? He is in Toronto talking to them apparently.
