Cavs / Golden State Trade Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Now that the Warriors have lost Ellis for possibly a good chunk of the beginning of next season, sounds like they might be more interested in Delonte, if we're making him available.

They're talking about trading Al Harrington. I don't know if this is old news (Monta getting hurt) but I just heard it myself.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Guess theres a chance that injury could change things. Dont really want Harrington though, and Im not sure how Jackson would fit in with Mo.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

I'd pass on Harrington. Once again, I think the whole Jackson rumour was made up by someone on RealGM, so no sense even bringing that back up.

I don't like that trade. I'd rather keep Delonte...or if he takes the qualifying offer move him at the deadline. Now if Stephen Jackson is involved in the deal as well, that's a different story..

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Theres NO WAY Ferry would trad Delonte for just Harrington. I dont even want him.

But Jackson...only 2 problems.

1. He wants an extension
2. How he would fit next to Mo

If Jackson came in agreeing to be the 3rrd or 4th option on offense, and agreed to put in 110% on D, then we'd possibly be the favourites to win it all.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Monta Ellis is now out for 3 months. West to GS making more and more sense.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Golden State were thin at point guard to begin with before Monta went down so the Warriors will be actively looking. You have to expect Delonte to be part of those discussions. I'm not going to go down the route of fantasy trade talk, but Jackson and Harrington do assist in areas we are not so strong (2 guard and bench big).

It will be interesting to see the Warriors next move.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Snow (if he can get off the books) and Delonte would both interest GS, and Jackson and Harrington would both interest us. I wonder if any combo of those guys + possible picks will be rumored soon (in actual articles, not just fan speculation).

I brought this up to Golden State fans on RealGM and they said they'd do this (not saying I would):

Wally
Snow
#1

for

Jackson
Harrington
Perovic

That's obviously very costly (20 million in expirings/our biggest trade assets) for older players and a young prospect who hasn't proven anything. This would be the line up (if we re-sign West):

Ilgauskas / Varejao / Perovic
Wallace / Harrington / Hickson
James / Pavlovic
Jackson / Gibson / Kinsey
Williams / West

Again, it's just what a GS fan thought was fair. That team is very deep at every position besides backup center (maybe have Al start, Ben the main big backup, and then Hickson and to a lesser degree Perovic play the other minutes?), and all the guys we receive are off the books by 2010.

Nope, I just changed my avy in honor of Wally. He stays! I veto this :chuckles:

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

You better inform Ferry. Wally is no longer available due to a new avatar. :chuckles:

How 'bout they give us a #1?

and where's Andy in your line-up?

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Now that Golden State has been brought up, could the injury to Monta Ellis cause Golden State to want to make a trade for Delonte again?

I know that hes only supposed to be out for 3-4 months, but they may want to target someone healthy in case this is a nagging injury for the season...

Just throwing it out there, but maybe we could set up a little package with Delonte and Snow to get Harrington and Jackson or something useful in return?
