Cavs / Golden State Trade Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Wow, I TOTALLY forgot Andy. :chuckles: Someone else had him in a trade in the post below on RealGM, so I accidentally left him out.

Ilgauskas / Varejao / Perovic
Wallace / Harrington / Hickson
James / Pavlovic
Jackson / Gibson / Kinsey
Williams / West

That looks VERY nice, all the while maintaining our 2010 flexibility. The only argument I can see against is using our expirings for Jackson/Harrington, but I don't think that's so bad at all. That line up is very solid 1-12.

As far as us getting a #1, I don't see why. We're receiving 2 of GS's starters and they're receiving 1 of ours (if Wally is even a starter). You don't receive #1's for getting other teams' starters, when all you give up is expirings.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

Now that Golden State has been brought up, could the injury to Monta Ellis cause Golden State to want to make a trade for Delonte again?

I know that hes only supposed to be out for 3-4 months, but they may want to target someone healthy in case this is a nagging injury for the season...

Just throwing it out there, but maybe we could set up a little package with Delonte and get Harrington and Jackson, or something useful in return?

Delonte and what? Delonte does not have a an equal current value or ceiling. Though having a Mo/Monta backcourt pair would be pretty sweet, though short. But I doubt any situation will end with Monta in a Cavs jersey.

OK just to move all the fantasy trades going on on the Cavs main page, we've created a thread for your viewing and posting pleasure.

This type of stuff goes in this forum, not the Cavs unless we hear some reports.

I don't think he was suggesting GS would trade Monta... only that they may be interested in Delonte.

I don't see where that poster was saying Delonte would be traded for Monta?

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

I can see where the Warriors may have some serious interest in West due to the injury of Ellis, but I would also think that the Ellis injury would make it even less likely they trade Jackson. I just don't see how they could go into the season with West replacing Ellis and Jackson and think they have a chance to win. even when Ellis gets back in a couple months it isn't like West will be able to give them what Jackson did.

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

I don't think Golden State believes they'll be winning at ALL this season, anymore at least.

I think Delonte would be involved in the trade, because they need a point guard. and Snow cant play. So i bet they would ask for Delonte

Re: Snow for Jackson on the table?

I agree, but most of the posters on their forum seem to think Delonte isn't the way to go. I'm guessing they don't see him as long term at all once Monta is back since they have Ellis, Bellineli, Azubuike, and Marcus Williams.

Whoops, just assumed that, especially since I saw another post somewhere else suggesting that very thing.

But if we aren't getting another point guard (a superior one) I'd rather not lose Delonte unless it was a steal of a deal.

I think every team goes into the season with the goal of winning..including Golden State. they may not have a realistic chance at a title but they can still make a playoff push.

I think they would trade Jackson, only because they have Belinelli who has looked good at the 2, Maggette can play the 2 and 3, and Azuibuike can play the 2 and 3. So maybe wally and Delonte would be involved for Jackson and Harrington. Not sure if contracts work im just throwing it out there

maybe you are right but and they would trade Jackson but I guess I don't see them trading him in a deal for Delonte West. if I am running the Warriors IMO that trade is taking a step back. I would just go with Williams, Jackson, Maggette, Biedrens, and maybe Harrington while trying to find a cheep back up PG until Ellis got back.

I agree 100%

Even though I believe the rumor was likely bogus... "if" they had considered it before, it is highly unlikely they'd be considering it now.

I think you're probably right. However, Al Harrington is not a valuable player...at-least not in terms of a trade. Last summer he was shopped around, but there were no takers...and teams were "looking" for bigs last year. I think that if we sent Delonte and say Snow, for Harrington & filler, Ferry would likely want a 1st round pick in return. Ferry would be negotiating from a strong position, as we have what they need, whereas they don't have anything that we "need".

Why would the Warriors take Snow as their PG ?? :(

Just money ?
